Quán Chay Nhà Tôi Vegan — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Ordered from this place on Grab Food. Paid 53k for a dish, driver arrived with a promotion leaflet saying my dish was only 45k.

The difference was only 8k, next to nothing. But what is the reason behind this 20% difference? If they don't have to serve a customer at the restaurant, why do they charge more? Grab Food takes commission, yes, but how many people get to know their restaurant because of Grab Food? If they charge for the takeaway containers, should it be 20%? Other places only charge more when they use eco friendly containers (this place uses styrofoam).

For me it's a cheating way to be on food delivery platform. So disappointed to see this much of greed for a vegetarian restaurant.

Chỉ là 8k thôi chả đáng. Nhưng tại sao lại chênh lệch giá tận 20%? Nếu không phải phục vụ tại quán thì sao lại tăng giá? Đồng ý Grab Food có tính hoa hồng, nhưng rõ ràng là grab có công mang khách hàng đến với họ. Nếu là tăng giá hộp đựng mang đi, tại sao lại đến 20%? Và những nơi khác chỉ tăng giá hộp đựng khi họ dùng vật liệu thân thiện môi trường, trong khi chỗ này dùng hộp xốp.

Hidden gem in the heart of Saigon! Great vegan food, friendly staff, English translations on the menu, a completely vegan menu, offering Vietnamese cuisine in a relaxed environment. We ordered the vegan BBQ skewers with rice paper rolls (summer rolls), and it was really fun to make our own with a giant pile of fresh herbs and vegetables. We also ordered the vegan fried shrimp, which was really crunchy on the outside and moist and chewy on the inside. I put some of it inside my summer rolls, and that was a taste and texture explosion! We also ordered the vegan deep-fried shitake mushrooms, which reminded me a bit of calamari rings, really chewy but so tasty. I highly recommend this delicious vegan restaurant. The food was great, BUT the service was absolutely terrible, so bad I had to mark it down this low. I clarified in the beginning about the price, because how they indicate it on their menu is quite confusing and doesn’t align well. So I made sure in the beginning to point out if it was this or the other price, twice, and she pointed to the one that was 60,000 both times. At the end, I was charged the other one, and clarified I had asked in the beginning and she told me the other one. There was no welcoming either from her, just a cold look the entire time I was there, or her occupied on her phone. Maybe it’s just how she is, so I don’t want to judge that. But at the end, it wasn’t even about the price, 25,000 isn’t a big deal, but the attitude shown. It would never want me to come back, no matter how good...
