Normally I don't leave bad reviews. I only rate great experiences or leave no reviews. Places has to work hard for bad reviews.
Don't even know where to start. We went there with my girlfriend. She ordered some crab or lobster noodles ( it had legs ).
I have asked the waitress out of 2 steaks which obe has less fat. She didn't know, so I have ordered 3 portion of French Frise instead. It turned out they only had 1 portion left.
To make the whole situation worse, they brought out my chips 20+ minutes before my girlfriend's food arrived.
I don't know what they expected, eat on my own? Of course by the time her food came out, it was cold. Obviously I sent it back.
How hard is to time frying a chips whit any other dish? Any decent place should be able to do it.
At least the passion fruit juice was good.
The outside area by the fountain is nice.
If you think about eating here, do yourself a favour and don't. You better off...
Read moreWhile the food was okay, I have to give this place a one star based on the service. We sat down and didn't get our water for over 30 minutes, and it took 45 minutes to even get the appetizer, which was just a papaya salad! It took another 10 minutes for the main entree to come out but then we realized it doesn't come with rice, so we ordered it but that took an additional 5 minutes, and that's AFTER we had to ask 3 different waiters where our rice were.
It's absolutely ridiculous that we had to ask the waitress twice for our water, and then multiple times for a simple bowl of rice. It seems like the staff had forgotten our entree until we asked about it. I understand it's busy time but the staff seems really confused as there were multiple different people bringing us different things and no one's keeping track of when we should be getting our food. For the quality, definitely not...
Read moreVisit here the second time to give it another chance. I already avoid crush hour (after 13:40), however this place is still so crowded (that probably is a good thing for business but not a pleasant feeling for people who really want to enjoy a meal in a restaurant).
It took a while to get a table for two. This place is not so small (Highland coffee was here before) but somehow the whoe decoration and set up makes it so pack, stuck and really uncomfortable.
The table for two is so small. I find table set up at Som Tum Thai is really cringe since I have to ask waiter/waitress to get me a couple of chopsticks, why? The chopsticks need to be there in the beginning.
In the other hand, the food is quiet ok. Their Khor moo yang nam chim-chaew is really tasty. But, the portion is really really small.
Probably not come here anymore unless I have to. (Business lunch required or there...
