Freaking bad experience dining here on last Saturday night (3rd Jun 2023). This restaurant seems like they do not welcome VNese diners AT ALL!!! No freaking servers were willing to advise with what to order. They just threw us the menu and left us freaking by ourselves. Ordered 2 x 250gr beef fillets with crab and shrimp soup as appetizers. Soup was served 10 mins after ordered, and then we had to wait like another freaking 30 mins for the fillets. Not sure if we would have waited longer if we didn’t nudge the servers to bring out the fillets. They were like “yes we are checking” “the food gonna be out soon” bla bla but no freaking one would apologize for letting us wait 30 freaking mins for 1 freaking fillets. For the record, the restaurant was freaking empty with only around 3-4 occupied tables on a Saturday night (im not even surprised). And other tables with foreign and familiar diners freaking got welcomes and their food so freaking soon even though some of them stepped in the restaurant way long after us. The female waitress with short hair even glanced at me the moment she placed 2 hot plates on our table, not knowing that i was freaking looking at her. So freaking impolite. And eventually none of them apologized for this freaking terrible dining experience of us. All freaking employees there freaking ruined our saturday night. AFTER ALL, the beef was also not that excellent. Soup was ok. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE RESTAURANT. NEVER COME BACK AND NEVER RCM THIS FREAKING...

We have been to both the El Gaucho in D1 and D7. Both are excellent. Both have fantastic managers. The food, no matter what ordered and what price is superbly prepared and presented. The decor & lighting of both are beautiful. But, D7 edges out D1 as the best: the Crescent Lake and outdoor cafe location so lovely; the 4 leather lounge chairs for before dinner cocktails prior being seated for dinner, so nice; the manager (J.R.) and wait staff really get to know you and every time greet you upon entry and come often to your table to talk and check on satisfaction. The food, drinks, atmosphere and the people are second to none. Expensive for Saigon, yes; but great value? Yes ... Update: still great...our server, Ms. Tiet, word-class, carefully attends each customer and sincerely gets to know them to make fantastic recommendations for...
