Starbucks mPlaza Saigon — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

One of the busiest places on all days of the year! Not surprising already for a coffee outlet in a nation that takes pride in their coffee consumption. As a Starbucks, it's international cult of followers can only ensure her outlets anywhere to be crowded. Expectedly.

Take note though, this store might still be named as "Starbucks Kumho Store" on their website and contact information. Whereas, on Google Maps, you might find another name "Starbucks mPlaza Store" showing up. They are both actually one and the same. The building where the store locates, were renamed from Kumho to mPlaza with respect to the new landlord, Mapletree Holdings.

*if it's too confusing, just tell the cab driver to drop you off at the hotel lobby of Intercontinental Hotel Saigon and you will see Starbucks very clearly next to the lobby.

All that said. It is a good respite after a morning's walk through the Book Street across from the store. Or like most of my friends would do, grab a cold frappe, before joining the afternoon queue at the American Consular for their visas. Otherwise, it is always a good meeting point for party cliques heading to Hard Rock Cafe next door or further downtown.

No matter what your intentions might be. Caffeine is probably a choice of "poison" of yours.

Updates: i see some unhappiness about their wifi. Well based on the crowd i am with and using their WiFi system for internet, I was able to surf the web rather comfortably. So i guess they have improved this part of their service. Cheers!!

PS: Do have a look at the Starbucks Reserve at Han Thuyen and share your reviews about it too. Would be great to hear more response or reactions about its "other" "new"...

Workers looked disorganized with notifying customers to pick up their completed orders. I waited 25mins for a drink and floss croffle where I can clearly see it sitting at the pick up counter. When I asked if my order was ready twice to two different workers, both said to wait after looking at my receipt and the ready orders.
