Song Huong Floating Restaurant — Restaurant in Hue City

Absolutely terrible for tourists!

We were given the English menu, assuming that the only difference was that it was written in English rather than Vietnamese. Wrong!

The food was dry, cold and bland. It took us a while to notice that the other tables were being served beautiful Vietnamese dishes that weren't even shown on our menu.

When we asked about the differences, we were shown the other menu which showed beautiful Vietnamese dishes which our menu didn't have. The drinks on that menu were cheaper than on the Western menu which was also disappointing.

Apart from the fact that our food was pretty awful and the service was poor. After seeing that the local prices were cheaper, we felt ripped off in more ways than one.

I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to any tourist who enjoys good Vietnamese food.

I don't normally write a review, however, I believe the people should be informed. On the positive, if you are a local, you would be treated well with someone waiting on you at your table. If you are a foreigner like myself and my friends, you will be deliberately ignored and forgotten about. The food was very sub par. My girlfriend is a pescatarian so we ordered the seafood spring rolls, which tasted and looked like pork. I asked the manager to verify and change the dish, but he insisted it was seafood. We order mojitos and they had next to no alcohol, I asked if he could specifically make another one for me so I can try it, so he made me a mojito with whiskey in it instead, which proved they didn't have barcardi or any alcohol in the drinks in the first place. This restaurant has very bad service.

When I took a trip to Vietnam, I went here as this location is good. First I asked some staffs to move to a table beside the river because it wasn't crowded, but they prioritized local people who came here after me. I was shocked.

I claimed to move again. After all I waited about 40 min.

Furthermore a lot of children ran around and played kicking cans, which sometimes jumped over tables, but they didn't stop. I wasn't able to enjoy eating. The food was not good, not bad but expensive.

I ordered only one food and two drinks, but It took them 10min to calculate my check. They kept me waiting at counter. It was too late and so terrible.
