The portions are quite small, when we arrived we had a family ordering in front of us so we waited, we then ordered two burritos, while we were waiting we realised that the table in front were quite uncomfortable with something and we then notice the lady from the table was looking to the kitchen as the door it was open, the girl from the kitchen didn’t had a mask and was constantly sneezing all the time, the lady claimed that she saw the girl sneezing on their food so they got really upset asked for their money back and left. We were a bit worried also because our food came just afterwards and we were like quite uncomfortable with the situation, the cashier when brought our food tried to excuse like if the lady was not feeling good and left because of that when we actually seen it all so that made us feel a bit like, we are not stupid… we were just so hungry that ended eating but to be honest we were not very satisfied, the burritos didn’t had sufficient cheese at all or either enough chicken, had a bunch of lettuce and were not balanced at all, too dry without a sauce or something. My partner also ordered some drinks that were only delivered to us after the food and it was because we had to remind him of them… Not sure but I actually also think that they ended up serving that food to other customers that were coming… We left a bit unsatisfied to be honest and wouldn’t come back. The place it was quite small but counted with...
Read moreVery, very good Mexican fare here. Owned by a fellow American who knows what's right and wrong and obviously strives to make his food the correct way. First thing is that the portions are huge compared to everywhere else in Vietnam, another ode to the American way of doing things. You might say otherwise, but it's a good thing: you get more for your money. Another seemingly small but very important thing is the quality of the food used in preparing the dishes. The ground beef in particular was perfect and had zero pieces of gristle in it. Hard to find in this country. Real cheddar cheese and a variety of sauces. I ordered too much lol but ate almost all of it. Very fair pricing and quality food! What more could you ask for? How about the closest thing to Taco Bell I've had here? Especially the taco supremes. Didn't skimp on the meat portions either. How about a nice, friendly manager, Nguyen who was a joy to talk to while I ate! Enclosed room with AC and a comfortable temperature! Tim is doing it right. Forget all the other wannabes out there. Only one thing needs improvement: the guacamole. Come on brother, make it yourself, easy, simple and would be way...
Read moreSUPER BURRITO review. After reading the good reviews Taco Tim's have received, I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my experience and by the Super Burrito that I ordered for takeaway. The image displayed is vastly different from what I received (knowing that there'd be some difference....just not so significant.) There was not nearly enough salad or cheese to balance out the abundance of beef mixture. If this was double cheese, then I'd hate to think how sparse a standard one would be. The taste was very average....far from super. Although it filled me up, I was overly disappointed, especially for the price I paid. (Quite greasy and difficult to manage without it falling apart or unravelling. ) It came with a small tub of salsa, which was impossible to add, unless the burrito was fully opened up (and then it would've just become a big mess). Lastly, the taste could've been improved with a good dose of sour cream. If you decide to try one, be prepared and have a plate to use as the aluminium foil it's wrapped in is...
