Nice market to visit during the evening times. Some shops are also open during the daytime however. The food quality is ok. Nothing too special. Most things you see here, you'll find in Ha Noi or HCM as well. For about the same price.

For people complaining about hygiene and all that. It's 'normal' in VN. If you never go outside in rural areas but stay close to the city center, you probably wouldn't know or see it. But it's really common for example to have the most disgusting toilets in restaurants or hotels. And there won't even be soap or water to wash your hands. Goodluck eating your meal after a dump. To make things worse: now imagine cooks/house ladies to cook your food. Because they use the same toilets, tables, chopsticks, etc. Now imagine little children growing up there who do exactly the same. As well as bringing your food to the table with their dirty fingers dangling in your pho or rice.

Now also imagine ants running around trying to get to your food. In many households it is very common to have ants crawling all over the place.

I do agree on the seafood part ppl talking about. Better choose the seafood restaurant where you select your fish from the tank. Its way more fresh. And not sitting in the sun the whole day. In general, most things are common sense. Don't expect a 5 star restaurant...

Mein Besuch am Dương Đông Night Market gestern Abend war ein echtes Highlight meiner Reise. Der Markt ist lebendig und bunt, mit über 100 Ständen, die eine beeindruckende Vielfalt an vietnamesischen Spezialitäten und frischen Meeresfrüchten bieten. Besonders gefallen hat mir die authentische Atmosphäre: Hier trifft man auf Einheimische und Reisende, die gemeinsam das bunte Treiben genießen.

Die Auswahl an Street Food ist groß - von frisch gegrilltem Fisch und Meeresfrüchten über traditionelle Gerichte wie Bánh mì und Frühlingsrollen bis hin zu süßen Kokosnuss-Desserts. Die Qualität der Speisen ist überwiegend frisch und lecker, wobei man bei den Meeresfrüchten auf die Preise achten sollte, da diese etwas höher sein können. Empfehlenswert ist es, sich auf die lokalen Spezialitäten einzulassen und auch das berühmte Fischsaucen-Angebot von Phú Quốc zu probieren.

Neben dem Essen gibt es auch zahlreiche Stände mit Souvenirs, Schmuck (vor allem Perlen) und Handwerkskunst - ideal, um ein Stück der Insel mit nach Hause zu nehmen. Das Marktgelände ist zwar nicht sehr groß, aber durch die freundlichen Menschen und das lebhafte Ambiente fühlt man sich sofort willkommen.

Ein kleiner Tipp: Der Markt kann ab 19 Uhr recht voll werden, daher lohnt sich ein früherer Besuch, um entspannt zu schlendern und die vielfältigen Eindrücke aufzusaugen. Die Anfahrt ist am besten mit Grab oder Taxi, da der Verkehr rund um den Markt lebhaft ist.

A lot of food options! A lot of inexpensive stuff around. Just I dont like the typical vietnamese vendor who are so grumpy and one didnt even allow me to take video of just the fruit 🙄 not as crowded as other night markets I‘ve been to in SEA. There are shops here selling surplus from famous brands like crocs, northface etc. I bought a pair of crocs for 300k dong. If there are not so many people they can give it as low as 250k dong!...
