I loved everything about the restaurant - view decor, plating, menu …. The vibes are great and loved that we made plans to visit the most expensive hotel in Phu quoc island for a Lunch. The menu is more Italian not a big menu but one of quality. The plates they use are from kevala a Bali based potter who creates plates for major hotel brands and loved the concept they produced for Ocean Club - reminding me of ocean and corals. They served better coffee than most places in Phu quoc, and started our meal with crispy and soft bread. Ordered the aglio olio ( without the mixed crumble) which knocked our socks off. Thought the Parmesan cream would make the pasta too creamy but it was just the right combination, well peppered and made even better with their chili pepper flakes if you like spicy. We loved it so much we got seconds. The Frutti de Mare also was a good tomato based pasta with fresh seafood. The chicken with lemon sauce was almost like fish and chips with the bite of chicken. Sauce was refreshing but not too sweet nor sour. We also got the gambas which was served with a rich prawn broth topped with Spanish bacon bits. Huge prawns and very succulent. We ended our meal with two beautiful plates of desert - a yuzu tart and a coconut pudding. Light and absolutely up my palette. Great meal and one of the top restaurants we tried....
Read moreWe wrapped up our Phu Quoc getaway on a high note with a leisurely lunch at the stunning Regent Hotel's Ocean Club. This Balearic-inspired beachfront restaurant, set against the backdrop of Long Beach's pristine white sands, was the perfect blend of elegance and relaxation. The standout dish? Without a doubt, the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio—a deceptively simple yet flavour-packed creation. Perfectly al dente spaghetti was tossed with aromatic garlic confit, peperoncino, and olive oil, then elevated with a cloud of parmesan cheese foam. It was so irresistible, we couldn’t help but order seconds.
Also stealing the spotlight was the Gambas al Ajillo, featuring four plump grilled Phu Quoc prawns marinated in garlic, chili, and smoked paprika, nestled in a rich, savoury bisque with smoky chorizo bits. Served alongside toasted country bread, it was a worthy indulgence. Adding to the experience, every dish arrived on exquisite handmade tableware crafted by Kevala Ceramics, a Bali-based artisan known for their bespoke luxury creations. A feast for both the palate...
