We recently had an excellent dining experience at Sora & Umi restaurant. The overall service atmosphere was good, and the serving staff, including Giang, Men, Thy, and Hung, all provided polite, competent, and timely foundational service, ensuring a smooth dining process.

However, the brightest star in this experience was undoubtedly Thao! Her service far exceeded our expectations and was truly an exemplary standard:

• Proactively Creating Value, Thoughtful and Attentive: Thao keenly noticed that we might not be IHG members and proactively and enthusiastically offered to help us register. She patiently and meticulously guided us through the entire registration process with clear and understandable explanations. Thanks to her help, we immediately enjoyed a valuable 20% discount on our meal! This not only saved us money but also allowed us to instantly feel the tangible benefits of membership. Her initiative and professionalism brought us tremendous surprise and practical value.

I went to Phu Quoc for a week, stayed in Intercontinental. Signed up on the bed, breakfast and dinner package, thinking I would try all the available restaurants in Intercontinental. Guess what, after our 1st dinner at Sora & Umi, I ended up eating there almost every night for a week. They provide a wide range of Vietnamese dishes, covering northern, central and southern vietnamese style cuisine. My husband and I picked 2 dishes each person per night, after 7 dinners there are still dishes we have not tried. Food is tasty, fresh and clean. I have sensitive tummy, ingredients has to be fresh otherwise I fall sick immediately. I also am allergic to gluten. I notified Intercontinental in advance, the hotel internal communications must be good, the staff in Sora & Umi noted it from their system. Every night they check with the chef if the dish I ordered contains gluten, I did not have to remind them. All staff are well trained, deal with customer questions very patiently. Among the staff members, Tu and Huyen have been attending to us for several days, great services, attention to details, I managed to remember their names and want to say that they add points to my satisfaction level rating for staying at Intercontinental. Just to add in a bit of contrast experience, we went to the Sea Shack restaurant one night because my mum and brother want to dine by the beach. Staff are friendly but they need big improvements on training. One example, serving fruit platter without cleaning up the dinner plates on the table. This is not a 5-star hotel restaurant quality service. If I could rate, Sora & Umi gets 9 out of 10, Sea Shack gets 3 out of 10, of the 3 points they scored 2 points been for the beach front location.
