Ordered a beef burger and lemonade at 10pm. Sat outside for 30 minutes drinking lemonade waiting for my burger to arrive. When I made eye contact with the waiter they brought me a bill for the lemonade only. I do not understand how the service staff could possibly assume that I would sit here calmly and slowly drinking a lemonade in this sterile roadside atmosphere for the pure pleasure of drinking a lemonade only.
Perhaps I am asking too much and have the misguided expectation that they could somehow read my mind. Is it my western understanding of service levels that to think that least a menu would be proffered in the meantime to further support the business outcomes?
Once the mistake was recognised, the burger was prepared and delivered in a not so speedy manner, the delay long enough to leave me bereft of the earlier inspiration for beef burger mastication.
The burger itself was delicious despite my experiential reticence.
5 stars for the burger. 1 star...
Read moreThe grilled chicken salad didn't have grilled chicken, it was an oily, breaded, fried piece of chicken, thin as a fingernail. When I brought this to their attention, they said something like, that's just how we do it... The hawaiian half of our pizza- ham, I don't think so... but the pineapple was good, and I'm not sure why there was bell peppers on it. The ham and cheese half of the pizza did actually have ham on it, as well as bell pepper, but the pizza had so much cheese, which hardened after the first slice, that eating any more than 2 slices, wasn't manageable. The Pepsi and coke both tasted fine, but were served at room temperature, despite there being 2 full sized fridges. There was no atmosphere, you could hear a needle drop. And to top it all off, it was way over priced.. I am writing this review to save whoever is reading this, money. Go...
Read moreSadly, the food served is not the same as on the menu. I ordered the shrimp salad (four prawns) and the steak with pepper sauce. It is advertised at 200g but I am convinced it was no more than 100g. The steak was cut into thin strips and separated slightly on the plate and covered in sauce to try and mask the deception. There were only seven (yes SEVEN) fries (frozen crinkle cut) and there was no asparagus- it was substituted by one cherry tomato cut in half and four cloves of garlic. The salad was completely saturated with dressing. The salad came after I had...
