We’ve been in vietnam for 6 weeks and think Vietnamese food is some of the best around.
This place has been by a long distance the worst food we have eaten in Vietnam and south east Asia in general.
I ordered chicken fried rice, not an easy dish to make disgusting but they did. The chicken was battered frozen, processed chicken. Bland, sloppy and even after a long travel day and not eating all day - I couldn’t even finish it.
My girlfriend has chicken noodles, which were slightly better but again frozen processed battered chicken but they were still really bad.
What restaurant worth there salt uses battered chicken, that’s processed in fried rice!!! There is no way that’s been cooked by a local, it’s insulting to Vietnamese food.
We went with high hopes as the place has very high reviews but after reading into them after eating we saw the reason was because they offer free coffees to people in exchange for reviews
We should have known, we usually go by the rule if it isn’t a western restaurant and there isn’t locals eating in there. Don’t eat there. We believed the reviews and didn’t look well enough at the reviews
By the time I got back to our hotel, I threw up.
When leaving we stopped a couple from making the same mistake as us who were about to go in.
I told the waitress it was disgusting and I couldn’t eat it, she was nice and apologised but we left.
Do not make the mistake of going here. I’ve never left a negative review for a restaurant in my life and worked with in hospitality for years so know what they go through but felt compelled to after eating here
If I could...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Red Pho, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that immediately made me feel at home.
The star of the show, of course, was their pho. I ordered the traditional beef pho, and it exceeded all my expectations. The broth was rich, flavorful, and aromatic, with a perfect balance of spices. The beef slices were tender and cooked to perfection, and the noodles were delightfully chewy. The dish was accompanied by a generous plate of fresh bean sprouts, basil leaves, and lime wedges, allowing me to personalize the flavors to my liking.
The service at Red Pho was impeccable. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were quick to refill my water and made sure I had everything I needed to thoroughly enjoy my meal.
In addition to the pho, I also had the opportunity to try some of their other dishes. The spring rolls were fresh and packed with vibrant flavors, and the banh mi sandwich was a delightful blend of crunchy bread and savory fillings. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness.
The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, with comfortable seating and a welcoming atmosphere. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided.
I highly recommend Red Pho to anyone craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Whether you're a pho enthusiast or just looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and try more of their...
Read moreInteresting that the place got so many raving reviews, maybe because people are happy there's one place still open in the area. Also the prices are affordable and the place looks nice. It certainly cannot be because of the taste of the food, which is best described as missing! Maybe the flavor got lost in translation, the place seems to be run by Russians and therefore catering to Russian taste (just a guess), but the food is just bland. I tried the sweet and sour chicken with rice and stir fried noodles with chicken, the best thing to say about both dishes is that the food was hot und ingredients were fresh. The noodles had absolutely no flavor, luckily there is some fermented mushroom and soy sauce on the table, the sweet and sour chicken was mostly sour. Service was okay, prices are fair. Oh, the fries are pretty good, so go there if you're...
