Gong Cafe appears to be a unique brand originating from Vietnam, with its concept steeped in the nostalgia of the communist era. Recently, I've noticed a surge of similar cafes popping up overseas, even in non-communist nations. The cafe's dedication to capturing the essence of this historical period is evident in every detail, from the staff uniforms to the interior design. During my visit, I found the chocolate to be particularly delightful. It's clear that attention to detail extends beyond the ambiance, reaching into the culinary offerings as well. Overall, Gong Cafe offers not only a taste of delicious chocolate but also a unique cultural experience that transports visitors to another time and place.

One of the best Vietnamese coffee recommended by my tour guide. It doesn't seem much for a cup of coffee in a little tin cup but for those who are interested in South East Asian type coffee, their black coffee or their coffee with condense milk is excellent. In a Singaporean language, it's super gao(thick) or known otherwise espresso single shot (but extreme strong). A ground level cafe area plus a second floor to see a view over the park in sapa. Although not much of a view as sapa is still under development, but it's a cafe with a lot of potential for the coffee it's brewing and given a good ambience and interior. The service is friendly and full of smiles.

Cong Ca Phe branch near Sapa City Center. I got the following: - Coconut Coffee: Really good, it's coffee with coconut icecream. Very creamy, but the strong taste of coffee is still there. I enjoyed this very much. - Croissant: It's more on the bready side (not really flaky like the usual croissant). It's served with condensed milk and you dip the croissant in it. The buttery-salty taste compliments the sweetness of the condensed milk. Spent around 2 hours here, and there are electric outlets if you want to charge your devices. They have 2 floors, and the washroom is located at the 2nd floor.

Located in Sapa, quite a cold place but we love it. They have no a.c. but with this kind of weather on the 2nd week of April, there's no need for that. Ambiance is 5/5, Coffee is 5/5, Customer Service is 5/5, price is reasonable. 55,000 dong for a Coconut Coffee, 70,000 dong for a Hot Vietnamese Americano. Very good Coffee. Wifi available, charging station available. Many young people hang out here. Restroom available. Street parking only. The only concern for me as a non smoker was there is no specific area for smokers. Hotline no. (+84) 911811154.
