We had 4 meals in Sapa. 1 was complementary hotel breakfast, and 1 was a placeholder meal for beer party. So, all of our actual dining choice were here. Across 2 meals, we tried quite a lot of the dishes, and none disappointed us. We got the idea of reviewing this restaurant on our second visit, so we didn't get lots of photos for dishes.
The restaurant is not very crowded. We arrived around 2pm, a little late for lunch, and were the only customers there. If you would like a bit of rest from crowded places, this is the place for you.
Our visit to Sa Pa was somewhat unlucky, and was on a very foggy day, and the windowside view was somewhat limited. However, if the weather is clear, the view from there would show a magnificent view downhill. If the weather is good on your visit, you definitely should give here a visit.
The staff are very friendly. Run by a family of three generations, the chef being the son and served by the grandson. The granny greets you at the front with a big smile.
Now about the food. The burger patty was hand-made, and was juicy, fresh cooked. They put fresh cucumbers instead of pickles, so "Cucumber-hater Comrades" should take extra care to ask for no cucumber. Comes with some fries and ketchup. There is no sauce inside the burger, and can taste somewhat bland. I recommend putting some ketchup within the burger. Then, it tastes perfect.
The pho bo(rice noodles with beef) tastes rich and warm. Sapa is quite colder than the regular temperature of average Vietnam, and if you feel cold here, this is the dish to warm you up.
The pizza we tried here was Queen Pizza. If you like the taste of average franchise pizza, such as Dominos', this is not the dish for you. However, the pizza is very homemade. The tomato sauce is not rich-and-deep taste, but tastes very fresh. The pizza comes with a LOT of cheese. Other toppings are very generously put too.
Next review is on spring rolls. We tried spring rolls with shrimp, and it matched perfectly with the sauce. The dish is given very hot, so you should take care.
Bun cha is noodles given with spicy, sweet and sour sauce. You dip the noodles in the sauce, and eat it. It also is given with some pork. The pork may taste a little salty, so it should be eaten with the noodles as a side dish.
Even the rice bowl, with no extra, tastes good with the soy sauce given. Tasted kind of nostalgic, and is recommended for Koreans with nostalgia for rice.
Overall, 5/5, would always visit here again if we travel...

Nestled in the heart of Sa Pa, Moment Romantic Restaurant is a true culinary gem that perfectly captures the flavors and hospitality of the region. From the moment we walked in, we were met with warmth and enthusiasm from the staff, who seemed genuinely passionate about sharing their food and culture with us.
We ordered the beef with green peppers and lemongrass, a dish that was bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly balanced spices. The tender beef, fragrant lemongrass, and bright green peppers melded together in a harmony of textures and aromas that brought Vietnamese cuisine to life. The Sa Pa spring rolls were equally impressive, crispy on the outside with a delightful, savory filling. Each bite was a reminder of the care and authenticity that went into the preparation.
What truly set this dining experience apart, though, was the exceptional service. Not only did the staff go above and beyond in making us feel welcome, but they also took the time to explain the cultural significance of each dish, detailing the ingredients and sharing insights about the local chilies and sauces. It was a fascinating experience that deepened our appreciation for the meal.
By the end, we wished we could bring the entire restaurant back home with us. Moment Romantic Restaurant in Sa Pa offers not only an unforgettable meal but also a memorable journey into the heart of Vietnamese culture....
Read moreAll right, let's get this out of the way: the restaurant is not what I would consider romantic. But then I did not come here for that.
When we arrived, we were greeted by extremely friendly and welcoming staff; this would continue the entire three hours we were there (heavy rain prevented us from leaving).
We started off with the Sa Pa potato soup and the Sa Pa spring rolls. The soup turned out to be a hearty potato soup with bacon, almost like a German potato soup and something I will come back for once it gets colder.
The fried spring rolls were delicious though I am not sure what made them Sa Pa spring rolls; I guess the Chef is from Sa Pa.
The grilled salmon was a tad overcooked but very good otherwise. The passion fruit sauce was tangy as it should be and the French fries that came with it were outstanding.
The pork with cardamom turned out to be pork on a sizzling iron plate. The meat was tender but keep in mind that this is SE Asian cardamom; do not expect the same taste as say Indian cardamom. Nevertheless, a darn fine meal.
Once again, I cannot overstate the helpfulness of the staff. We were there with our little baby and they looked after her wonderfully; to the extent of giving her a rain cape when we finally decided not to wait any longer.
I thought value for money was excellent though it is obviously not street food prices (but then is neither the service nor the quality).
Certainly...
