Cho tinh Quan, also known as Love Market Restaurant, is a hidden gem that beautifully captures the traditional style and flavors of the Northern minority people in Vietnam, reminiscent of places like Sapa and Ha Giang. The restaurant offers a cozy and inviting ambiance, allowing you to immerse yourself in the cultural experience. Considering its location and popularity among tourists, the prices at Cho tinh Quan are quite reasonable. Their delicacies range around 12 USD per dish, while the signature dish, Thang co (horse internal organs hotpot), is priced between 500,000 to 1,000,000 VND (25-50 USD). This restaurant is a haven for local specialties, offering a wide array of dishes that showcase the authentic flavors of the region. From flavorful stews to aromatic grilled meats, Cho tinh Quan has something to satisfy every palate. The staff members, dressed in traditional attire, are not only friendly but also add to the overall cultural ambiance of the place. For an unforgettable dining experience that combines delicious cuisine with a traditional setting, Cho tinh Quan comes highly recommended. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in the flavors of the Northern provinces while being embraced by warm hospitality and a charming atmosphere.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. We have been travelling round SE Asia for the last three months and this was probably the worst meal we’ve had. The atmosphere of the restaurant is brilliant, and feels very authentic and local, but the food itself is a huge letdown. We ordered a chicken hotpot, a fried rice and some sturgeon to share between the three of us. The rice itself was extremely under seasoned and so bland, it was impossible to eat without adding the soy sauce they provided. Half of the chicken they provided for the hot pot was inedible as it was just parts of the rib cage that had hardly any meat on it. The broth itself was incredibly bland as well. The sturgeon was the worst part. We ordered the deep fried salt-crusted sturgeon and somehow it tasted of lake water. The batter was tasteless and despite the appearance of lots of salt, no nice flavour was present. We were incredibly disappointed as the other reviews made it seem like a fantastic place to eat, it was unfortunately not for us. A huge disappointment, especially as it was quite pricey compared to other restaurants in the local area. Possibly it is very nice for locals, but not for tourists and foreigners.

I can see why this place is so popular. The restaurant has a very nice and lovely decor, and inside it’s big and spacious. We were seated in the cosy floor area. I requested to be seated at the table, but it seems like those are for reservations only. So if you can’t cross your legs, I would recommend that you make a reservation to avoid disappointment. The food was good, and even more so during winter. We ordered the sturgeon hot pot, which also came with a basket of fresh mixed vegetables, tofu and enoki mushrooms, and instant noodles (which was my favourite). We also ordered additional sliced pork which I don’t think was in the menu, but you can ask for it. All the ingredients was fresh and had good flavour to it. Highly recommend to give this place a try!

Excellent! Great food, even better atmosphere. Highly recommended! P.S. I don't think staff knows it is possible to edit review after it's been posted, but now that I left the restaurant I have to say that it was really weird that they asked us to leave a good review and then stood by our sides until we did so. They made us take and upload pics of the restaurant and then write something nice. After I posted the review the waiter made me show him the review and then took a pic of it with his phone. Although it did feel weird, I did not mind it very much, but I think someone else might would have a problem with it in the future. Just politely asking to leave a review would be just enough. I would've left a nice review either way bcs really it was very good :)

You can see the whole view of Sapa from this restaurant. The interior speaks sophistication and their service is impeccable. We LOVED their food so much!!! We ordered stir fried pork belly and fried rice with egg and mixed vegetables twice! The grilled horse meat was soft and tender, it wasn't hard to chew at all. The pepper chicken was also delicious with the sticky rice on the side. We also had salmon with cheese and pumpkin soup with bread as appetizer. Even the dipping sauces are amazing. The drinks are freshly made. We ordered lychee, mango passionfruit, and autumn. We highly recommend you eat here! One of the best meals we’ve had in Vietnam!

Tried the sturgeon hot pot and fried salted sturgeon both very good but the hot pot was the highlight. Order the small hot pot more than enough for two people, could not finish all. The hot pot comes with veggies, tofu, mushrooms, instant noodles and obviously the meat of your choice. The soup base is very good and they top it up during the dinner. The service is good and Google Translate solves all language barriers. Try the plum wine it's quite good - sweet and sour taste similar in alcohol content with sake. They accept credit cards but you need to pay the card fee 2.4 for Visa and 3.4 for MasterCard. Overall an excellent experience
