We would take very serious the negative reviews, and in particular, the responses from the owner, which we believe is everything that’s wrong.
The photo doesn’t lie... that pizza is blackened all around the edges. Not “charred” or “wood-fired rustic”, just burnt.
Burnt is burnt.
Go online and search for wood fired pizza from any reputable place in Vũng Tàu.
You’ll see blistered spots and a bit of darkening, not a crust that looks like charcoal. There’s a big difference between flavor from fire and flat out overcooking.
Even the other pizza pics from here look normal. Why so defensive?
That isn’t "wood-fired flavor", it’s a mistake that should have never left the kitchen.
Instead of apologizing and owning it, the owner blamed the customer.
They told them they should’ve asked questions before ordering, and that burnt is to be expected.
Crazy.
Then finishes with a patronizing “I hope my advice helps with your future dining experiences.”
That’s not accountability. That’s arrogance.
Geeze... Customers don’t need to interrogate a restaurant before placing an order. To look around and check the food.
They need a business that simply takes pride in its product.
Based on the owners' responses to negative reviews, with that attitude, imagine what would have happened if the customers had said something when they were here.
Scary.
This is exactly why people speak up in reviews, because clearly, if they had spoken up in person, they’d have been dismissed...
Read moreI was craving pizza yesterday, had read some glowing reviews about Mr. C’s pizza, thought to myself, this couldn’t be true so stopped in for some take away to see if the hype was for real. Randy and his lovely lady have a great vibe, the place is cozy, charming and inviting with a pool table in the back surrounded by tanks of colorful fish. Took the pizza home, the #3 ( most popular according to customers) and it was still piping hot as it had just come out of the wood-fire oven, took one bite and was utterly convinced, this is absolutely the best pizza in Vung Tau. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur, having had pizza all over the world, including Italy. Crust was perfectly crisp yet soft, toppings and sauce plentiful with complexity of fresh seasoned flavors with the perfect amount of melted cheese. I am converted. Mr, C’s wears the crown. My family had already had dinner so I enjoyed the pizza myself, I couldn’t stop eating even though I was totally full and almost finished the whole pie. Randy and staff, you have won over a new customer so you’ll have to get used to seeing our faces! By the way. I’ve got 2 nice pieces of gnarly wood to add to your fish tanks I’ll bring...
Read moreTwo Canadians walk into a bar… and five hours later, they’re still there! That’s exactly what happened to us at this incredible spot. The people were so amazing—friendly, hilarious, and downright delightful—that we completely lost track of time just hanging out. It felt like we were at a backyard party with old friends!
Oh, and the food? Don’t even get me started. The Woodfire pizza was a masterpiece—the crust was perfectly cooked, with that ideal balance of crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and the smoky flavor from the woodfire oven took it to another level. And the chicken wings? They were cooked inside the woodfire oven too, giving them this incredible smoky, crispy perfection that had us licking our fingers clean.
If you’re looking for great food, great vibes, and a place where time flies, this is it. Just don’t blame me if you end up staying for...
