I've been to Spur at Eastpark Mall several times, and it continues to impress me each visit. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with comfortable seating and a layout that feels spacious and cosy. It's a great spot for both family gatherings and casual meals with friends. The food quality is consistently high, and their menu offers a wide range of options. The steaks, in particular, are top-notch – perfectly cooked to your liking. The sides are equally delicious I’d also highly recommend trying their burgers – juicy, flavorful, and served with crispy fries. One of the best things about Spur is their family-friendly vibe. They offer a designated play area, which is fantastic for keeping the little ones entertained while adults enjoy their meals. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and well taken care of, and they’re genuinely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I also appreciate that their prices are reasonable, given the quality of food and the generous portions.

Although the last time I had a meal here, "Double Trouble" to be specific, I was quite disappointed, the patty was not thoroughly cooked on both burgers. The part in-between was nearly raw. I almost requested it be taken back, if not for the waitress, saying the bill will be deducted from her paycheck. Otherwise, apart from that experience, all my other experiences have been great.

Sometimes when traveling around Africa as a South African, you just want to have a quick, reliable meal during lunch. Now, as many South Africans, I’ve been to Spur more times than I can count. For good or bad, it’s always reliable and satisfying, so I’ve never felt the need to review a Spur because I was always satisfied and happy afterwards. This Spur was the exception. Everybody complained about how dry and tough their meals were, and on top of that, the service was very poor and without the usual Spur friendliness and charm. Food wasn't good. Started with some type of cheesy bread. It was microwaved not oven baked and crispy. Burger wasn't on point. The staff overdo it. Keep asking and checking and over the top on service where it becomes disingenuous. The worst of all they start rushing you off the moment you start eating. It's like rush rush...
