GameZone | EastPark Mall — Local services in Lusaka Province

Wednesday 25th September I arrived at Game Zone around 12:30 PM with two teams planning to rent a pitch from 1 to 2 PM. With its affordable price we proceed to make our payment, we were told they don’t accept coins. Fine, we tried mobile money, but that failed too. After three attempts, we finally brought cash, only to be told we couldn’t pay because they were “working on the pitch” and to wait until 2 PM.

We waited outside for an hour, only to walk in at 2 PM, get changed, walk in the futsal section and then be told the pitch still wasn’t ready. I went to ask for an update, and the staff member actually sent me to the workers on the pitch for answers. Went to ask for ask the worker and he casually strolled in the pitch moved a few blocks around, touched the turf a but then exited silently, leaving us without any information.

A few minutes later, a receptionist with all smiles and boucing with cheer, evicted us from the pitch saying we couldn’t enter until payment was made,...?

Confused, I checked with my teammate, who had just tried to pay. Saying, they had refused him to pay again because the pitch wasn’t ready! When I asked the staff member again, he just pointed (with his hand behind) me to the manager, i asked and he said “You can’t play today" "Pardon?" "You can't play today" 😤🤌

I went back to my team, ready to leave, but they insisted that the staff had said we could still use the pitch and they'd be done workingon it soon. After seven more minutes of waiting, we finally gave up. As I passed the reception, knowing that could see how frustrated i was, they just looked down at their phones without a single word, completely ignoring us. A simple “sorry for the inconvenience” would’ve made a world of difference

I was there at 12:30, at 1 PM, they could have informed us that the pitches weren’t available, but instead, they made us wait and kept as waiting as if we had nowhere else to be. Spent nearly two hours waiting for a pitch that was never going to be ready.

Typically, bad service can be attributed to stress or a heavy workload, but the place was empty but this was just poor service, plain and simple. I really hope they handle things better next time.*(I give it 2 starts cause it's...

This place is overpriced for no reason. They charge for everything, they charge to enter per kid and per HOUR per kid according to what they want to do. They charge to watch the 5 min movie which btw it is not for small kids, I will say 6 years and up which they don’t tell you. They almost charge to go pee

Front desk woman made me buy socks at the mall when they actually offer socks at the place. she never mentioned to me they sell socks until I confronted her and she proceeded to lie.

Dude in the trampoline area let kids play for free with no socks after they didn’t let me in because my kids had no socks. They were just some random employee’s kids. And again the employee lies to me about their parents coming with socks, so why are they inside with no socks to being with ?

I will never come back to this place, too expensive with limited 60 minutes for kids to play and horrible customer service.

I am here writing on my sons account about how he was treated in gamezone. It was his birthday and he had just turned 10, but they didn't let him in rhe trampolines!! We had seen many children that looked way over the age of 10, yet they were still let in. The employees didn't tell us anything beforehand and requested for our card then came back and said my son was not allowed in. The boss denied his request to go in the trampoline without even having a look at him to see if he was over 10 (when he is not???). This is my son's favorite place to play and to see him so upset on his own birthday breaks my heart!!! He wasn't even allowed on any of the rock climbing and other playing activities!? I really am shocked, my son came back crying to me while i was sat at the restaurant. The only reason I'm giving this place a 2 star is because of one paticular nice employee who cheered my son up!! I would definitely not recommend this...
