The place is amazing full of Argentinian rail history. The aspect that really made my day was the fact that the personnel’s attitude towards the visitors is at another level. I couldn’t pay with my cards, they simply didn’t worked and I had no cash with me. My 4 years old son was so happy that we were about to see the trains but I couldn’t pay the entrance. The nice people there allowed us to visit the place, we got a guided tour and my son was so happy. Of course I came back and paid the entrance tickets after a visit to an ATM. Thank you for the experience and the...
Read moreIt was an interesting place to visit. We spent almost an hour there. Most of the signs are available in both Spanish and English. It has the history of the railroads in Argentina, and associated artifacts. Most of the time we were there, it was uncrowded. As we finished our visit, a school group showed up. Surprisingly, there was no admission fee or even a donation box. On the day I was there, the staff spoke little English, and I understand less Spanish. There are a couple of steam engines outside, but otherwise little...
The Autonomous City of Buenos Aires is full of museums and, how I love museums, today visit the National Railway Museum. Admission is free and the hours are what Google says, from Monday to Monday (including holidays) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. I recommend that you do the guided tour, the guides are very good and explain the historical events very well, in addition to the fact that with them you can get on the presidential car. Here are some of the photos I have taken. IMPORTANT: The only bad thing about the place is that it does not have access for people with disabilities. Still, if you're thinking of going out a bit and looking for something new, the place is highly recommended. They have restrooms, in case I didn't mention it, and you have to register at the entrance. Come closer, you...
