Puente de la Mujer (“Woman’s Bridge”) is an architectural marvel designed by Santiago Calatrava. His vision to embody a symbol of modernism in a city landscape is not only a work of art but serves as a functional pedestrian bridge. Its asymmetrical design is said to “resemble a couple dancing the tango.”

By day or night when its lights are most luminous, the bridge is a worthy stop on your Argentinian journey. A blend of innovation and tradition, this bridge pays homage to the city’s culture and works not only as a pedestrian bridge but also employs a state-of-the-art mechanism which allows it to swing open and allows access to ships through the canal.

A picturesque view of Puerto Madero is to be had while visiting as well as city sight lines making this stop a favorite for tourists, photographers & locals.

Buenos Aires’ commitment to conscientious urban development and superb architecture are showcased in this...

🌉 Puente de la Mujer🌉

The Puente de la Mujer is a masterpiece of modern architecture and a true icon of Buenos Aires! Designed by renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, this bridge is not just a functional structure, but a stunning work of art that captivates all who visit.

Its elegant and dynamic shape, reminiscent of a dancer, symbolizes the tango, which is so integral to Argentine culture. The bridge's lighting at night is simply breathtaking, transforming it into a visual spectacle that illuminates the city's skyline.

Beyond its aesthetic beauty, the Puente de la Mujer plays an important role in connecting the region, linking the neighborhoods of Puerto Madero and San Telmo. It's the perfect spot for romantic strolls or simply to admire the view of the river and the city.

Walking across this bridge is a unique experience that combines art, history, and modernity. It’s undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone in...

My second day in Buenos Aires and walk to this bridge from immigration Museum about 15 min walk . museum was interesting I will write review for it but not recommending walking from museum to this bridge. Not really very pleasant and pedestrian friendly road . Bit industrial. However if we need to talk about Mujer Bridge ( women bridge) bridge is Interesting enough to go and take pictures for sure but more important is area , have to say nice and Lively Location, lots of café , restaurant end Bars here lots of them open but some of them close lunch time they open for diner and area getting more busy with locals and of course lots of tourists too at night . I would definitely go back for another lunch and dinner. More pleasant then busy city Center street restaurants. I give 4 starts because they would improve the area still not there yet . Sorry Enjoy your...

They don’t call it the ‘Paris of South America’ for just any reason ✨ Buenos Aires is a mesmerizing city full of diverse cultural influence, architecture, and history and made up of nearly 50 neighborhoods. Each is unique in character and style, but here’s some things to know about a few of the busiest and most notable: SAN TELMO: the oldest neighborhood where preserved colonial buildings and cobblestone streets brim with charm. Historically queer-friendly and home to the 270+ stall market, ‘Fería de San Telmo’ PALERMO: a popular and trendy area among tourists and young locals and the city’s largest neighborhood. home to an array of independent cafés, restaurants, boutiques, and nightlife venues. RECOLETA: a quiet, elegant, and upscale neighborhood in the city’s North, well-known for its French architecture, museums, art exhibits, and famous cemetery BELGRANO: a more traditional and residential center beckoning with specialty supermarkets, street-food stalls and some of the city’s best Asian cuisine throughout its ‘Barrio Chino’ SAN ISIDRO: not a neighborhood, but a coastal city just a quick train ride from the capital and noteworthy for its beautiful views of the Río de la Plata PUERTO MADERO: Buenos Aires’ dockside commercial center where the famous ‘Puente de la Mujer’ suspension bridge and modern skyscrapers reside LA BOCA: a historic immigrant neighborhood with colorful houses, a pedestrian museum-street, and tango clubs Save this reel for your future Argentina travels and follow along @thelesbianpassport 🤍 #buenosaires #buenosairesargentina #argentina #visitargentina #argentinatravel #lgbttravel #lgbtqtravel
