American University of Armenia — Attraction in Yerevan

This university is ridiculously expensive, and yet the quality of education hasn’t improved one bit. Tuition fees keep going up year after year, seemingly just “manually adjusted” without any real justification.

The registration process is an absolute nightmare — slow, disorganized, and stressful. I am on and off with this university for 4 years now and I am shocked to see that nothing has improved since then, aside from a new website (which doesn’t really solve the bigger issues).

While there are some professors who are genuinely professional and knowledgeable, there are also plenty who can barely speak English and seem completely lost in their own classes. I honestly don’t understand how some of them were even hired.

Overall, for the amount of money they charge, the experience is disappointing and frustrating. This place needs serious management reform, not just...

Unfortunately the least is 1 star, I would have given further negative rating if it existed. One of the university with worst hospitality, the receptionist didn't let us use the waiting area as we were waiting for a friend while it was raining outside. When we asked if we could use the WC the receptionist told us to use the Cafe across the street, how aweful attitude!! Though it says American University of Armenia but it doesn't have that standard. What is the use of having such good infrastructure when the staff have such a terrible attitude or I may say such terrible policies kept by the American...

Can’t comment on the quality of education here, but the amenities and staff here is very good. We had a conference here two years ago and facility is amazing. The design and interior is well thought out. I hear it was designed by American architects. Very impressive inside. Student life is very active judging from posters inside.
