Special appreciate to dear Mehta Sir ❤️. As I stepped into the antique store in Udaipur, I was immediately transported back in time. The air was filled with a faint scent of aged wood and history, creating an atmosphere of nostalgia and wonder. The dim lighting accentuated the beauty of the artifacts, casting delicate shadows on the intricate carvings and ornate designs. Each corner of the store was a treasure trove, filled with exquisite pieces from different eras. I marveled at the collection of vintage jewelry, their gemstones gleaming under the soft lights. The ancient sculptures and statues, each telling a unique story, captivated my imagination. I couldn't help but run my fingers gently over the weathered surfaces, feeling the texture of history beneath my fingertips. One of the highlights was a beautifully crafted chest, adorned with detailed inlays and brass fittings. I could almost hear the whispers of the past as I admired its craftsmanship. The shopkeeper, an elderly gentleman with a wealth of knowledge, shared fascinating tales about each piece, adding depth to my experience. The visit was not just about admiring the antiques; it was a journey through time, a chance to connect with the rich cultural heritage of Udaipur. The ambiance, the stories, and the beauty of the artifacts made this visit an unforgettable moment, leaving me with a deep appreciation for the timeless artistry preserved within the walls of that charming store.

In looking for high quality miniatures, I was referred to Ashoka Arts by another store in the area. The man who founded and runs the store is clearly highly respected in the field. He and his son Akshay are honest, wonderful, passionate and soulful people who helped me select my first Indian miniatures. The whole experience was exceptional and quite memorable. They have something for everyone in their store at all price points, and if you are keen to learn, they have so much wisdom to impart about technique and beyond. I cannot recommend Ashoka Arts more. I look forward to finding my way back to them in Udaipur one day. Thank you, Ashoka Arts !

After being pushed to buy one of these beautiful paintings in jaipur by a very rude shop person I stumbled on this shop during my stay in Udaipur on a walking tour of the city. The shop owner was not only friendly, but patient, fun and extremely kind. I bought two paintings from him and plan to come back this year to buy more. He also gifted me a 400 year-old Indian coin. I couldn’t be happier with the service here and all the art is so beautiful, definitely recommend!!! Hoping to see my Jahangir and Nur Jahan painting! 😊🙏🏼

Scheduled a couple’s miniature art workshop for 3 hours (booked in advance on same day). Was a brilliant experience and something new for me personally. I didn’t know what to expect as I am terrible at painting and arts. However, was super happy with the end result. The instructor, Mr Hitesh Soni was extremely patient and his story is very inspiring. A true artist. I would highly recommend him and would definitely take his class again whenever I am back.

We had been looking for a Gopashtami for a long time. However on our last year's visit to Udaipur, on a friend's recommendation, we visited this place. The father son duo won't hesitate to spread open their entire collection for you till you find what you're looking for. They have a well priced collection, and we got it for a bargain due to peak COVID season. We got the painting framed in a matt golden frame with a white bound inside.

Did the arts workshop at Ashoka. It was a 3 hour guided workshop by the instructor Hitesh. All materials are provided and you make the art completely from scratch including drawing with step by step instructions and guidance. It is one of the must-do offbeat activities at Udaipur at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommended even for someone who doesn't know how to draw. The also did complimentary nail art which was a happy plus.
