I went to the store a couple of days before Christmas. All the staff were really lovely and smiley, v warm greetings, which - in and of itself is pretty incredible because as a gal who has worked in customer service during the festive season myself - lordy it can be hard to keep that smile.

Anywho !! I was helped by an employee named Lid. I had left it suuuper last minute to get my dad a record player for Xmas because I was coming from interstate and didn't want to lug it in baggage. Lid talked me through all the varieties and really tried to get a gauge of what would suit me (or I guess my dad) best, I never felt like I was being upsold to or anything like that. Even though the place was packed like a can of sardines Lid really made me feel like I had all their time and attention. Naturally the record player that best suited me was out of stock because life is a laugh like that but Lid directed me to the JBHIFI that had it in stock all the same.

We tried out the record player Lid suggested for the first time the other day and it really was the best choice product for us! 👌

Even though I didn't get the product I needed from this specific store the experience totally made me feel like JB CBD is a great first stop because even if the stock isn't available, there will likely be a person with the passion and intel to guide me to the product that will best suit me and the best place to find it.

Anyone who's interested the record player we got was the Audio-Technica LP60XBT great sound, great look,  👏user friendly👏 (great for my folks) great price. My dad teared up (he's not a crier) as he finally took his records out of storage...

The staff were very polite but really have some trouble on offering comprehensive instructions😭When I bought a SIM card here the staff told me to simply follow the instructions on the package of the card and the Belong app to activate it and I could get a plan of 7 GB/21 $/month. I wanted to do it right there in the store but the staff apologized and said that they still needed to serve other customers.

I went home, inserted the SIM card in my iPhone and downloaded the app, but the plan mentioned above was nowhere to be found except in a pdf that lists all the plans provided. So the next day I went back to the store and waited for a while because the sole guy who knows his way around SIM cards was serving other customers. Turns out this plan can’t be used immediately. You have to use the regular plan for the first month, which is 25 GB/30 $/month, and then you can change to other plans. I had him hotspot me (this store provides no wifi despite being a tech store) to get through the other steps like linking a credit card and adding an address. When everything‘s done I still couldn’t get cellular data. So I headed back and waited for several minutes just like before, and the staff told me that I need to reboot my iPhone for it to work.

So in general, polite staff. But if you want to get things done, ask for all steps and prepare to...

My experience with JB Hi-Fi has been fantastic the past few days. I have purchased a Nintendo switch from them, with a few other accessories and games and that was easy as. The next day I purchased another game and remembered the helpful, cheerful and friendly staff. The next day, I called up the store and said I would like to return my game and wanted to know if I could even if I had taken the seal off and played it and was surprised with the answer "Of course man, come in, we'll have a look and take care of you." I went in, and they really did take care of me making the experience very easy and not a minute was wasted. I very much like the return system that JB has in place. I also asked if I could use the money from the refund to go towards another game I wanted and he made it sound like the easiest thing in the world. That was a fantastic experience but as well as that I found ordering online and picking up the game I purchased too easy, I brought in literally just my phone after purchasing online and having a receipt on email. I showed them and they knew exactly what to do and within seconds I was leaving with my game. Not only that but JB has fantastic sales and prices.
