It's a perfect spot to watch the sunrise or sunset, take in the beauty of the landscape, and capture some stunning photographs.

There are three ways to get to the Monument: bushwalk track staircase and concrete track drive
We drove as there was no way our kids (or us) would have made it up the concrete track and we didn't know about the bushwalk til we reached the top.
There isn't a great deal of parking up the top so probably better to avoid peak times.
Once at the top, the monument, alone was magnificent. You can quietly walk around and read the information and dedications to those from WWI and WWII.
It was during this walk that we stumbled across some paths that turned out to be bushwalks. The initial tracks from the monument were very, very narrow but eventually opened up as they joined to other tracks.
There are some tables, a BBQ station as well as toilets at the top.
There's a lookout at the top overlooking Albury. It was nice but some of the trees were blocking the view.

Read moreThe Monument Hill War Memorial sits a top of the hill at the western end of Albury’s main street providing stunning views of the city and surrounding region.
Designed by architect Louis Harrison, the monument was unveiled on Anzac Day in 1925 in dedication of the men and women who served in World War l.
“… The night was perfect – clear weather and no moon. The crowd gathered at the junction of Dean, Thurgoona and Garden Streets. The main speaker was General John Jackson Paine who switched off the street lighting. A bugler, half way up the hill played the last post in the darkness and, as the sound died away, a hidden electrician brought the lights on slowly and the Memorial came into view, high above the crowd floating on air. It was a solemn and inspiring sight.”
A short distance below the Monument is a Memorial Bowl to honour the men and women who served in World War ll.
