With Tripadvisor awards from 2013 still on the wall my suspicions of anything reasonable and decent coming from this restaurant were confirmed. Service was poor with a party of five needing to wait almost two hours for the mains. Waitstaff asked folks at the table to clear room on the table and hand them plates which is their primary responsibility, not the patrons. The fundamentals of waiting were absent and clearing tables seemed foreign to the rostered staff this night. It was just downright bad. Some of the dishes were okay but others were bland and flavourless. Asking for mild did not mean remove all flavour and character as well. To make the main meals even more of a saga, the assorted breads were the worst we've ever had. The naan breads seemed to be more like papadums they were so dry. The complimentary coffee could not be supplied as there was no coffee machine working/available so we were offered desert as a substitute which themselves were a joke. The ice cream servings barely would have filled a desert spoon and the tinned gulub jamun was scaldingly hot having been heated in the microwave. After having had the Indian Chimney recommended to us I'm afraid the endorsement could not be continued and I doubt we'll return again. Might pop in to Thai Puka instead. Sad thing is two members of our party had not had Indian before and I suppose they won't again as a result of our...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Indian Chimney recently, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish! The restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere with tasteful decor that reflects the rich culture of India, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
We began our meal with the Vegetable Pakoras and Onion Bhaji. Both appetizers were crispy and bursting with flavor, served with a side of mint chutney that added a refreshing kick.
For the main course, I chose the Lamb Rogan Josh, which was tender and infused with aromatic spices that transported me straight to India. My dining companion opted for the Paneer Butter Masala, which was creamy and indulgent, paired perfectly with fluffy basmati rice. We also ordered a side of Garlic Naan, which was warm and delicious, perfect for scooping up the rich sauces.
To finish off our meal, we couldn’t resist the Mango Lassi—it was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, refreshing our palates after the flavorful dishes.
The service at Indian Chimney was exceptional; our server was knowledgeable and attentive, making great recommendations throughout our meal. Overall, Indian Chimney is a gem that offers authentic Indian cuisine in a welcoming environment. I’m already looking forward to...
Read moreNormally I am not a person to complaint about but this time it's serious. No doubt the resturant looks fancy and very good and it's in regional area but atleast customer expect something if he's paying good money for the meals. And following is my experience with this place. Actually, two days back I ordered one of the dinner deals and told them to make hot butter chicken for me and it was take away but when I got the food and went home and started eating butter chicken curry was literally sweet like sugar, no signs of chilli inside the curry and last day again I went there with 2 other of my friends and ordered one Mutton Rara, Paneer Butter Masala and naans and after that staff is saying me that you have to order starters if you want the main course as soon as possible, like seriously so basically it's like showing bossy attitude towards the customer and now coming back on the food Mutton Rara not properly cooked and sweet like sugar in taste, like first time in my life had sweet Mutton Rara, Paneer Buttler masala with minimum quantity of panner and I had similar dish feom other resturants and its normally so good but the food at Indian Chimney was so bad and I don't even recommend to eat or take this food for free of cost. And sorry if I am rude but this is reality of...
