The Albury Regent — Hotel in Albury

My wife and I stayed at the Regent for three nights recently, we were both taken aback at the cleanliness and how tidy the unit was. It is obvious that the owners Mike and Jackie Ward have had a lot of experience in managing motels.Every detail was catered for even including drink coaster for our use and a windscreen washing bucket and squeegy on the verandah for their guests use. Mike and Jackie went out of their way to assist us tired travelers with local information regarding where was good to eat and where the places of interest were that we should visit, even a little black poodle welcomed us. We have stayed in many motels in Australia and I would have to say that this motel is certainly one of the best, taking into account the price and the facilities. If we do go to Albury in the future we will definitely book into the Regent. I only wish that I could give it a six star rating, well done Mike and Jacky we both felt completely relaxed in your motel. "WE WILL BE BACK"

What an absolute gem!! We've been travelling the East Coast (Australia) staying mostly at 4 Star accommodation but after reading the reviews on The Regent we decided to give it a go. I think that those 4 & 5 Star motels we've stayed at, could learn a lot if they checked this place out; it's spotlessly clean, bed sheets crisp/clean with the bed inviting, the units are spacious and fitted out with more than you'd need. I opened the drawer below the microwave & the cutlery together with glasses & cups/saucers were neatly arranged beside a good stock & range of coffees & teas. Really nice room, we just stayed the one night as a stopover. Room and bathroom were spacious, immaculately clean, pretty quiet considering it was facing the main street, free parking, good air conditioning, comfortable bed, big TV. The only minor gripe I have is that the water pressure in the shower was terrible. We checked in after hours which was no hassle at all and Jackie was very friendly at check out and in all communication. Great location in Albury, walking distance to lots of things including major shops and there's cafe next door where we got an excellent coffee.
