There are better places you just need to be patient and look for them Wow that was not bad not good neither for the amount of food that you get on a plate doesn’t really justify the price i’ve been to 5 star darling and you do get a lot more food oysters were deep-fried, so they disappeared to nothing but a dish was tasty. I must say that it was very nice. Have a look at the photos $112 for just one person and they charged me $1.59 surcharge. I overheard customers whingeing about the surcharge as well it’s a lot of money and then you got the balls to charge the customer a surcharge As for your cheesecake it was burnt as you’ll see in the photos maybe you should make it in house Surely you could do it? Definitely would be thinking twice coming here

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary with lunch at Yardbird. We absolutely loved our meals. I enjoyed a delicious Spanish ham, peach and fresh cheese salad, which was beautifully dressed, followed by mouthwatering slow cooked lamb. My husband was very happy with his swordfish meal, which he rated as one of the best fish dishes he has eaten, anywhere and sent compliments back to the Chef. This was followed by a inviting cheese platter, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The young lady who waited on our table, was welcoming, wishing us a happy anniversary upon arrival and she was friendly and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful experience. Great value for such an enjoyable meal. Thank you!

Pretentious and overpriced menu. For eg. the “autumn salad with brocoli‘ etc’ was more like a cos salad with a little diced broccoli stems. It was so far from the elaborate menu description that we thought we were given the wrong dish. The other side of roast potatoes that were meant to be cooked with beef dripping and rosemary salt had absolutely no flavour. The $50 steak was not up to scratch. Lamb was great, as was the chicken liver pate entree. Ambience was nice and the waitress we had was friendly and prompt and thankfully took the ‘broccoli salad’ off our bill. Still, we expected something to wow us for a $250 dinner for 2. We didn’t bother with dessert for the pricey risk.

With just a couple of tweaks, this place will be a five-star venue. We went there to celebrate my birthday and had an amazing night drinking delicious cocktails and eating amazing food. But there were a couple of things that could be improved upon. We ordered the croquettes to share for appetisers and when they came they were just dumped on the table with no crockery to eat them off. We tried to get the attention of staff but they were too busy so we just are them with our fingers and made a mess. For entree, my partner had the scallops which even though the flavours on the plate were amazing he found them to be rubbery and tough. I had the oysters for the entree and found the vinaigrette to be unbalanced and overwhelmed the oysters. The oysters had also not been released from their shells which made them difficult to eat. Besides those couple of things the mains were amazing, I had the porterhouse that was perfectly cooked and delicious and my partner had the slow-cooked lamb which he found to be just as delicious. We got the sauteed beans and the corn mamasita style as sides and the corn was the absolute stand out for the night. It was so full of flavour and cooked perfectly. We both indulged in desserts that were a great way to end the night. The only other thing that was disappointing was the way some of the service staff were presenting. With the high-end prices, there also needs to be high-end service and having some staff dressed in cutoff shorts doesn't fit with the food and feel they are...

My wife and I arranged a rare date night at this restaurant as we've been wanting to try it. Booked for 8pm on a Saturday night, and we arrived a little early so we sat at the bar for a cocktail. I think it's ridiculous that they ask for a $50pp deposit for a booking, which is non refundable if you cancel or dont show within 24hrs!

We sat at the bar for 15mins without anyone asking our order. When we finished our drink we had to ask if we could be seated at our table. The guy asked if we had a booking, and then couldn't find it and said there might be a table soon hopefully! This left us confused as we had a booking, he then found another staff member to ask who then found our table booking, it's now 830pm.

We placed our order for dinner and wine. We ended up drinking the bottle and received only a dip by the time we decided to leave at 940pm!!! Disgusting, the place was emptying out and we still hadnt received our meals. No member of staff came over at any stage to top up our wine or water but most importantly find out where our meals were.

When we got up to leave the elusive waitress asked if everything was ok, so then I proceeded to show my displeasure and walked out. The staff gave the usual excuse of "we are down a staff member". Maybe explain that before you just ignore us for an hour and half, we may have decided to leave earlier to then be able to actually find somewhere open to get dinner. We were so hungry, not what we had in mind for our date night.

We won't...

My partner and I attended this restaurant for our 11 year anniversary. Upon entering we found the decor very appealing but that’s where the charm ended for this restaurant. Service was very average. The lady who served us seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. She hovered over our table while we ate looking over our shoulders far too regularly and was quite intense, especially when it came to how to give a tip at the end of the night. As for the food, well it left a lot to be desired. At that price I expect a meal of reasonably high quality. Like other similarly priced establishments in the area (eg La Maison and Miss Amelie.) My partner and I were very disappointed. Beans were well overcooked, cauliflower dish was plain and flavourless. We shared the barramundi for a main which was super plain and tasted like something you would get from a pub where nobody eats for about $25. Honestly out of 5 dishes that we ordered only the scallops were of an acceptable quality. I don’t think I could bring myself to return to this establishment after the experience we had. Lucky we had each others company which saved the night. I had heard some bad reviews before attending and i wish I’d...
