I'm a local, so my POV is likely to be a little biased... you have been warned. Firstly, it is impossible to offer a review of the PC foreshore without also including the Port Campbell Bay, which includes the beach, and Port Campbell Bay. (Google Port Campbell Bay - there are literally thousands of photos of her. She's beautiful). So, overall the foreshore/beach/bay provides (normally) a sheltered, popular (and SUPER popular when temps nudge above 30 degrees C over summer - which is common) beach and safe swimming harbour over the summer months. (Sure, some days can be c__p, but this is Victoria we are talking about here - Four Seasons In One Day, and all that). WRT parking vehicles along the foreshore, there's only about 30 spaces, so when they're taken up, they're taken up - first in, best dressed. Other parking is available around town, but if you want to park close to the beach and it's going to be a scorcher and there's an offshore wind/breeze blowing... I recommend you set your alarm clock and get down...
Read moreA cafe used as a stop for tour buses, has abusive and aggressive staff which tells patrons ‘you are not the only one in the world’ when we tell them our bus is leaving and we have been waiting 15 minutes for our coffee. The female staff then uses expletives as we demand our money back and exit. If she was serving me in a cafe in melbourne, I would report her to her management and the authorities for her behaviour. #grayline buses and #Sightseeing Tours Australia please use alternate last stops on your one day Great Ocean Road tour, as this cafe doesn’t deserve any patronage or business....
Read moreIt's a must to visit Port Campbell via the Great Ocean Road. Whether it's a place to stop for a few nights or just passing through, take the time to go to foreshore and check it out. The beach is lovely and nice place to take those fish and chips to eat. Watch the seagulls as they are pretty clever at coaxing you out of a chip or two. Toilets are nearby. Good parking. Great for kids. Nice amount of shops to explore....
