We booked via text messages as requested on the website when there's day of bookings. We had the lovely kylie seat us at out table and explain the ordering process. Which was a little daunting for my anxiety brain but made sense once she explained it and was happy to answer all our dietary requirement questions and knew her menu well. We all enjoyed a variety of pizza and we all went big or go home with the amount of toppings we had (I had Pesto base, Feta, parmasan, chicken, Zucchini, potato, jalapenos, sundried tomatoes and walnuts, I definitely recommend if you want a filling but refreshing pizza) Not to mention on each table was a brochure explaining how the food was like 70% locally sourced which is worth every penny in my books. Right at the end we came up to pay and had trouble with our card and thank goodness there wasn't a line at that time so we filled the space with kind banter and kylie helped us come to a conclusion which meant we were able to pay through bsb. Thankyou guys so much you're doing...

We asked to be seated but there weren’t any tables available inside, so we were asked if we wanted to sit outside or have takeaway. They didn’t tell us we could wait for a table inside so we assumed everyone had just been seated and the wait would be too long. So we opted for takeaway as it was cold and rainy outside (didn’t feel like it even though they have heaters). After only a couple of minutes a table became available and we asked if we could be seated there. They told us it wasn’t possible because we had already paid for takeaway (different prices) and it was not possible for us to pay the difference. When we eventually left with our pizzas there were 3 empty tables. The pizzas looked great and the toppings were fine. The dough however was really bad. It looked and tasted like old stale bread with too little salt. We just wanted a nice dinner at a restaurant but in the end feel like we wasted our money (they weren’t cheap) on bad pizza that we...

We were a bit disappointed, because the food was okay but the place seemed very hyped, super busy and not cheap, thus we expected more. Medium pizza was like a smaller regular size one but due to a thick base it did fill one person. The caramelized onions with kale and lemon and chilli pasta in a butter sauce tasted very different than expected. I thought it would be sweeter due to the caramelized onions and would have some additional flavours. The chilli came out at the end. I do like fatty foods, but the pasta was drowning in oil with several tablespoons of it left in the bowl after finishing the pasta. Especially weird was to me that this simple vegetarian dish was even cheaper than the meat lover pizza of my partner, which was a heap of different meats. That doesn't make any sense! At first I was impressed and how calm the front lady stayed in such a busy, stressful job but after a long wait for our food I thought maybe it could have...

I visited this place one evening in Port Campbell when options were limited around 7 PM. The restaurant had a nice, cozy atmosphere, which was welcoming. We opted for takeout and tried one of their pasta specials for the day, priced at $26. The portion size was generous—enough to feed two, and the box was quite heavy, which I appreciated. However, the pasta itself was quite disappointing. It lacked seasoning and was extremely bland, to the point where I couldn’t taste much of anything. I had to add my own Doritos sauce just to make it somewhat enjoyable. For the price, I expected a lot more in terms of flavor and freshness. The pasta didn’t taste very fresh either, which was a letdown. On the plus side, the staff was courteous, and I liked their sustainable practice of allowing takeout customers to return the fork the next day. Overall, I would rate the atmosphere at four stars, but unfortunately, the food only gets two stars.

Update (3 years later): I’m happy to report that after all these years, REAL hasn’t lost its charm or hospitality. The pizza still tastes just as amazing—if not better! We loved the El-Scorcho pizza and warm lentil salad and the flavours were just as perfectly balanced. We were also fortunate to be seated inside despite having no reservation, which added to the experience. The atmosphere is still very welcoming and even as the last customers (again!), we never felt rushed. This place remains a gem! Original review: Great little pizza place. Fresh produce, tasty dishes and great service. Open for dine in and take away. We had the special seafood pizza and the flavours were so well balanced. It was so good. We were the last customers before closing but the owner never made us feel rushed but instead was very welcoming. This place is highly recommended!

Just had dinner here with my friend and as soon as I tried that first spoonful I was in heaven. It does take a little longer than usual but that’s because it’s made to order like they explain on the menu. I made my own concoction of pasta with the pumpkin sauce, garlic, herbs, pumpkin, cauliflower, mushroom, spinach, broccoli and it was amazing. I liked that there wasn’t too much sauce or super rich flavour as I could enjoy the fresh products. The way they source their food, recycle and have a no waste goal is amazing. The service was lovely, I do recommend booking a table like we did as it does get busy and you’re more likely to sit inside. I don’t understand how people are leaving bad reviews, maybe they haven’t tasted or appreciated fresh products or they don’t know how to put together something yummy. Wish they were open in the morning 😂
