I spent two wonderful nights at Port Cottage with my wife and 3 kids last week. The cottage is amazingly and lovingly adorned with so many beautiful trinkets, books, art and knick knacks it really created the most special vibe. Port Cottage has everything you should need for a great stay, from awesome coffee beans and a grinder with a chemex jug to a small artisan style mini bar that you are able to buy drinks from. it also had everything you would need to cook and create meals if thats what you like. It's location is fantastic, a short drive to all the popular tourist attractions like the Apostles and London Bridge and a quick stroll to the main street of Port Campbell where we went to both the Pub and Real Pizza for dinners which were both awesome. We also took heed of the some the great suggestions left for us by the owners in their compendium about local cafes and stores in Timboon, Camperdown and others not too far way which were all fantastic and left us wanting more. The beds were comfy, the lounge room cozy and the bathroom floor was heated for those cold wintery days and nights. We experienced some pretty crazy weather conditions whilst there, with 70km+ wind and rain, sun and hail, but always felt safe and sound in the Port Cottage. The weather made our stay even more awesome - to see & feel the harsh elements that this part of the world is known for and then be able to come back to the warm coziness of the cottage was simply awesome. We hope...
Read moreWe absolutely LOVED our stay at Port Cottage. It was the first time we had visited Port Campbell, and it's such a lovely gem on our Great Ocean Road. We had a lovely and relaxing stay at the cottage. Here are some of the things we loved: having both a shower and bath, and spent our nights soaking in the tub with the thoughtfully provided bath salts the well stocked pantry with beautiful tea, treats and a delightful selection of hot chocolate the super comfortable and cosy beds the proximity to town, it was a short walk and we loved being able to pop down to Grass Roots for a coffee the proximity to the beach, it was a very short walk and we loved popping down for sunset it has air-con and a heater, so we were always very comfortable the incredibly well stocked kitchen - we cooked in the evenings and had everything we needed, we also loved the cute lobster plates, wait until you see them! :) All in all, we would 100% recommend you book Port Cottage for a relaxing weekend away in Port Campbell! Read moreI loved every moment staying at Port Cottage!
Port Cottage is an easy walk to Port Campbell’s beach, eateries and shops. When out visiting the local sites, I found myself looking forward to returning to the cottage to enjoy its amenities such as having a game of quoits on the lawn, soak in the tub and playing vinyl records. So many thoughtful things were at the cottage to use, like beach towels, laundry products, rain coats, a picnic basket and blanket.
I found the styling and colour scheme captures the local coastal elements. The cottage is full of collected pieces of decor, art and furnishings that come together to create a cozy coastal and nautical experience that I felt celebrates Port Campbell. Which for me is a big tick to stay in accommodation that embraces its surroundings and history as I get a fuller experience of a place I am visiting.
Port Cottage is great for a one night stay.. but even better if you can...
