FISHBOWL - Gasworks — Attraction in Brisbane City

Sad to be posting 3 stars. The bowls are tasty but the service is average at best. The staff are not smiling, there doesnt seem to be a lot of happiness, the lady at the register was not at all accomodating or friendly.

I ordered 2 bowls for lunch via the website which advised me they would be ready to collect in 20 minutes. I arrived about 25 mins after my order was placed to be told its still not ready. Another 20 minutes later (So 45 minutes in total since placing the order) it was ready - which is very disappointing. The online ordering system needs to be updated or turned off during the peak times if you can not meet the timeframes given.

This is the second time I have used the online ordering system and it was equally as bad last time. Its so sad that such an amazing local lunch option is now...

Was in a bit of a rush so we kinda gobbled the food down and I can’t really make a full judgement on it, but I can say that the service wasn’t the best. We came when they just opened (so there was no one there), and yet it took over 20 minutes to make ours (I know cause the time on the receipt, and we were watching the time cause our parking was running out lol). When they made it, they just put it on the bench and didn’t notify us or anything, so we didn’t even know it was ours (and there were a few people who came after us and already got their orders- I assume they ordered online).

Other than that, from what I remember the food was ok. The presentation was beautiful in my eyes, the taste was okay. Would I come again? Probably… but I’d probably watch more carefully to see if our food has...

Ordered a large salmon OG and got 5 teeny tiny pieces of salmon in my bowl (who knows what I would've got in a regular size!)

They can't call themselves fast food either with it taking over 30 minutes to throw pre-prepped ingredients in a bowl. And I was watching them move at a snail's pace too 🐌

Also more expensive than the Newmarket store too which is another slap in the face with them thinking they'll just charge the Newstead demographic more for the same thing 😒

Update: thought I'd give them another try with their new street box and unfortunately it was terrible. Ordered the chicken one but where's the chicken!? If it's there it's been minced so tiny that it just blended into the sauce. It also had cold patches which concerns me from a food safety...
