Campos Cafe 3/5 stars (Brisbane Gasworks) Unfortunately, the highly recommended campos cafe was a real letdown. The inside design and architectural was great and the little things made it count like the slow grinding coffee machine and coffee bags on display. For the coffee, I waited over half an hour for an extra hot cappuccino which was upsetting for how good it was. It was made perfectly by a talented barrister and was really enjoyed. The cafe was slightly dog friendly not allowing dogs inside, only outside. The outside of the shop is a figurative wind tunnel. Very cold air was rushing though blowing onto your face not making it a suitable place to sit. Overall, the experience was not good though the coffee made up for it. If you are looking to get a good coffee but are prepared to wait (without a dog) then campos is right for you although if not, Manet go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSeriously?! My husband and I used to love campos coffee and we visited the cafe a lot BUT their staff attitude towards dogs is OBNOXIOUS, and from one particular person (The guy behind the counter with long hair in a bun)....rude.
If you haven't noticed, Gasworks is a dog friendly location and so are most venues in there.
I stood outside this morning as I had my two puppies with me and asked if I could order a coffee from there. Firstly while I was in the queue the guy pointed at my dogs and made a NO gesture. I nodded. When I asked if I could order he spoke to me very rudely saying Iām not taking your order I just asked if you have ordered already! Who talks to their customers like that? I decided to leave and ordered from a cafe next door who were more than happy to take my order politely while I had my dogs.
Sorry Campos, you have lost two...

I presented a keep cup (340ml/12oz) and asked for a latte, but with only one shot. When I received my coffee, the cup was filled to the 227ml/8oz line. I asked the baristas if I could get some more milk, to fill my coffee cup and was told "no! You ordered an 8oz!!". The cashier had assumed that I wanted a small coffee because I asked for one shot, which wasn't what I was asking for, but OK she misunderstood my coffee order - it happens. BUT obviously that's not good enough for their baristas - not only will they refuse to provide even a dash more milk, but they'll also withhold the smile "no more milk...
