Campos Cafe 3/5 stars (Brisbane Gasworks) Unfortunately, the highly recommended campos cafe was a real letdown. The inside design and architectural was great and the little things made it count like the slow grinding coffee machine and coffee bags on display. For the coffee, I waited over half an hour for an extra hot cappuccino which was upsetting for how good it was. It was made perfectly by a talented barrister and was really enjoyed. The cafe was slightly dog friendly not allowing dogs inside, only outside. The outside of the shop is a figurative wind tunnel. Very cold air was rushing though blowing onto your face not making it a suitable place to sit. Overall, the experience was not good though the coffee made up for it. If you are looking to get a good coffee but are prepared to wait (without a dog) then campos is right for you although if not, Manet go somewhere else.

A Morning Ritual Made Better Campos Coffee at Gasworks is more than just a coffee stop—it’s a daily dose of warmth and kindness. The team here is consistently friendly and genuinely caring. From the moment you walk in, they treat you like family, remembering names, orders, and always taking the time for a quick, meaningful chat. Let’s be honest—when I’m heading in for my morning coffee, I’m not always in the brightest mood. But without fail, I leave with a smile. There’s something about this place that just lifts your spirits, whether it’s the incredible coffee, the welcoming energy, or the simple fact that you feel seen and appreciated as a regular. If you’re in the area and looking for more than just a caffeine hit, this is the spot. Campos at Gasworks is a local gem that serves up joy with every cup!

I love their signature rosetta shape so much!!!! They always provide perfect latte art in the coffee. Well.. coffee flavour would depend on the each brenches of the Campos, but I reckon it was the best coffee in Gasworks. Campos also have a lot of cakes and bread looked tasty! I had a chocolate banana cake. The rich taste of banana and chocolate cream was great match. If I make a suggestion, banana sheet with melted chocolate not a cream will be also good match :)

Seriously?! My husband and I used to love campos coffee and we visited the cafe a lot BUT their staff attitude towards dogs is OBNOXIOUS, and from one particular person (The guy behind the counter with long hair in a bun)....rude.

If you haven't noticed, Gasworks is a dog friendly location and so are most venues in there.

I stood outside this morning as I had my two puppies with me and asked if I could order a coffee from there. Firstly while I was in the queue the guy pointed at my dogs and made a NO gesture. I nodded. When I asked if I could order he spoke to me very rudely saying I’m not taking your order I just asked if you have ordered already! Who talks to their customers like that? I decided to leave and ordered from a cafe next door who were more than happy to take my order politely while I had my dogs.

Sorry Campos, you have lost two...

Coffee tastes good, but the baristas are very protective of their milk! So don't for a second think that you're going to get past them with a measly request for a tad more milk, they won't allow it!

I presented a keep cup (340ml/12oz) and asked for a latte, but with only one shot. When I received my coffee, the cup was filled to the 227ml/8oz line. I asked the baristas if I could get some more milk, to fill my coffee cup and was told "no! You ordered an 8oz!!". The cashier had assumed that I wanted a small coffee because I asked for one shot, which wasn't what I was asking for, but OK she misunderstood my coffee order - it happens. BUT obviously that's not good enough for their baristas - not only will they refuse to provide even a dash more milk, but they'll also withhold the smile "no more milk...
