Barn Bluff — Attraction in Cradle Mountain

I absolutely love coming here. The scenery is top notch. I gave it four stars this round because they are still working on the expert area of the North trail which is my favorite place to walk here, and there some flowery bushes currently growing on some paths that are filled with bees and make for some high anxiety moments. I was so impressed. There's a huge parking lot across from the hiking trails. I went to the top on the west end overlook. And WOW. The trees are changing colors and the rock formations are huge, stunning. I went at 9am on a weekday. Not a soul round. A lovely hike. Once you're at the top you feel peace. There's a but of stairs, nothing crazy. Walking along the cliff side with the rope is kind of scary if you're afraid of heights like me, lol. So worth it though. Red Wing is a pretty...

The city put in a lot of work into these trails. Well maintained with several lookout points and trails on every side of the hill. It was unfortunate that the smell from the plants permeates the trails so there is a mild sour smell everywhere on the trails. The views are fantastic. I suggest walking the west side first and then hiking the east second as it has the better view of the trees. No designated parking so plan on parking on the road and don't expect the outhouse to have...
