Red Wing Confectionery — Restaurant in Red Wing

We’re visiting Red Wing & this was our first time to the ice cream shop. Understand when reading this I am way to please. Doesn’t take much & I would much prefer to leave a positive review than negative, but I’m hoping this will be seen by management. It’s a pretty store. Things were nicely arranged & displayed. Unfortunately , we would never go back in there. The older gal with the short hair & round dark glasses was extremely rude. No hello, or anything except a glare. Walked into the back area where candy/chocolates are made. Came back out & asked what we needed. So she got my ice cream. I’ve been here several times since I moved here in January. It is the best place to get gifts for your friends and family who live out of state. Everything in this store that I’ve tried is delicious! My favorite thing, however is the presentation of the store. It is soooo beautiful and colorful. It’s like walking into the candy store from the Willy Wonka movie. They also decorate very cute for each season/holiday. It’s an entire experience walking into their store. Rows and rows of colorful, delicious treats! I keep coming back for more, even if it’s just to grab a small treat for myself and my husband. My favorite treats are the chocolate covered Oreos. I also like their chocolate covered pretzels. My original Yelp Review from 1/27/2017 - Went here last month while hanging out with my friend's kiddo. Wanted to pick up a few things for her to take home with her as a momento treat of our short walk around town. It's a cute shop but I found the prices to be a bit on the high end. Personally I'd be content with a piece of Dove chocolate and call it a day. Her parents liked the chocolate truffles (~$4ea, ouch!) but I don't think I'll go back as it wasn't THAT good to pay that much for. I know that small confectionaries need to make $, too, but don't know how long this place would last without...
