This is more than a venue! Browns Mart is an incredible place to spend time. They work hard to make ensure high quality local work is highlighted on our stages, they work closely with many members of the Community, both locally and interstate! As a venue, Browns Mart is awesome. There's lots of room to sit outside and enjoy the relaxed Darwin atmosphere. Inside is air-conditioned, comfortable and a beautiful old heritage listed building. Wow!! My first visit and I was extremely impressed. On opening the Webpage, I first was impressed with the acknowledgement of Larrakia country, secondly people with needs seated and attended to first,even a service dog. Next was this show Last Call, wrote in a role to include a young man with hearing impairment and to also include Auslan interpreters, hats off to all involved. Didn’t appreciate the comment made by the tall blonde man when my partner and I walked in at 1920. We were just passing and, thought we’d pop in to see about future shows. His comment on our entering was “told you”, clearly he had been discussing with his two female colleagues about people arriving late to shows assuming we were attending the show that started at 1900, the hollows.
