We were very disappointed with our Christmas Lunch to say the least. After they called and confirmed our booking, during that call I confirmed that we had 3 pensioners as part of our booking of 10. I requested if we could sit inside where it is a bit cooler as one of the pensioners had a walking frame and another would be two days out of hospital with cancer treatment. Upon arrival we were seated not only outside but in the furthest corner... only to be told very bluntly sorry nothing we can do. Then the lunch bullshit started. After I grabbed some Prawns and a couple of Oysters and ate those I went back to get some mains. After I couldn't see any plates... assuming they had all gone I asked for another clean plate only to be told you have you one and only plate. I said it has prawn heads and the seafood cocktail sauce on it... again I was told to bad you only get one plate. I said to them it's not hygienic or a good health practice to mix hot and cold foods on the same plate and again was told to bad wipe your plate off. I'm sure the health inspectors would not approve of their policy of one plate. Too bout we paid $140.00 per person for this crap... with no drinks included. I hate being that person that complains and honestly this is the first time I ever had. I was looking forward to this Christmas lunch as it's likely the last Chrissy we may get with two of them... so...

Had lunch there on Boxing Day. Asked if I could have a cloth so I could wipe down a table for my wife and I to sit at. The girl responded rudely and abruptly and said she would do it. One of the Keno TVs came up with a blue screen error reporting an issue with memory on the computer that would have been easily diagnosed and fixed within a couple of minutes. As I work with computers for a living, I offered the bloke that was struggling with it some assistance. I was discounted so much that the bloke just walked away from me whilst talking. I understand there are probably contractual issues as well as the untidiness of accepting assistance from a bloke having a beer (I had only just arrived and it was my first) but I don’t think I deserved to be so rudely cast to the side and essentially ignored. My wife ordered the pulled pork tacos, she asked me to try it and tell her what I thought. I tried it and immediately put it back on the plate. It didn’t taste right, almost like it had been boiled and was slightly off. It was horrible. We told the waitress who apologised and said she would tell the chef. That was the last heard, she never got back to us. My wife has a very upset belly today. We have a strong suspicion that it was the pork that caused it. On a plus side, the BLT that I had...

I recently visited the Precinct bar and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the young lady playing guitar really carried the vibe of the place, creating a lively country atmosphere that made the evening enjoyable. The location is fantastic, right at the waterfront, with nice alfresco seating that offers a lovely view of the pool and grassed area. It’s definitely a spot where people gather to enjoy good music and drinks.

However, the food left something to be desired. I ordered chicken wings that were significantly overcooked, to the point where the meat wouldn’t separate from the bone. The burger was exceptional, but I had to remove the bacon since it was uncooked.

While the staff were extremely friendly, my table was unpleasantly sticky, which detracted from the overall experience.

Despite the food issues, I appreciate the good price of the burger & chips at $22, as well as the regular musical entertainment. I would consider returning, but I’ll be more careful in choosing my meal next time. Overall, this pub has huge potential, and with some improvements in the kitchen, it could be a great spot to enjoy a meal and...

Always out of certain drinks. Seems to be run by backpackers, yep another place run by backpackers who dont seem to care or know what theyre doing. It's just a gimmick really. Tourists will keep this place in business because of where it is. The lamb shanks were ok. But for something that was the daily special, it took about an hour to arrive at the table. The buffalo sausages came out first and while my partner waited for our entree and my main to arrive, 45 mins later, his meal was cold. They brought out another to replace his cold meal, but the sausages were half the size, dry and as hard as concrete. The manager did refund us for that meal, luckily, and we took both the cold sausages and the hard sausages home for the dog who loved them. Unfortunately though, we won't return here. This was strike 3.

I'm not even going to put a service star or a food start as we order 2 simple dishes and 1 entree the 1st main was brought out as the entree and when I seen staff I the eyes rolled as if I was the one at fault they were replacing the main as we were waiting for out poppers the wait at this point was 1 hr we then waited for another 45 mins before food arrived not only was this un exceptable there were on very few patrons as this was a lazy Sunday afternoon unfortunately when the meals did show up it was half the size of the original meal and the sausages were so hard they could have been dog chew toys This may not stop u from wasting your money but spend a bit more time looking else where reading other menus and don't be fooled by the surroundings of the precinct
