I had booked a table for 14 people and was told we had to choose the banquette option. Whilst on the way to the restaurant, 3 guests pulled out. There were 11 of us. When we arrived we had to wait a while outside as the restaurant was crammed to the hilt. Whilst we were outside the manager, a little annoyed, demanded that we had to pay for the other 3 guests banquette orders, as apparently they had already made the food! I was really embarrassed and put on the spot. I wish we had turned around and gone somewhere else so they had no money at all! We purchased several bottles of wine which were not cheap and added $300 to the bill! Towards the end of the meal, the manager approached me as if she was doing us a favor and said she would only charge us for 13 banquets which meant we still had to pay for 2 of the missing guests . I have never experienced this in any other restaurant. It's absolutely disgusting behavior.

The banquette option was very " bread based' throughout. Pizza garlic bread entree, pizza main, pizza desert! Some of the pasta options were ok and there was a lot of food ( that could be the extra 3 people we had to pay for!!!) We were given tiny plates to eat from which was really awkward.

We have eaten here as a family and our experience was quite different. The decor and atmosphere has become quite cheap.

The young waiting staff...

First visit to this restaurant for me, second for my partner. Didn't dissapoint. Luckily we had pre-booked a table as it was very busy, a little surprising for a Tuesday night, but goes to show the good reputation of the restaurant. Food was scrumptious. After much deliberation we started started off with a garlic pizza bread for entree and Fettucine Pollo E Funghi for both my partner and I for mains. Only criticism is the meal (fettucine) was too big and neither of us could finish it all. Must be a common occurrence as the waitress asked if we wanted to take the left-overs home in a container! The staff were very attentive without being OTT and asking if we wanted table water and if we were ready to order and super efficient at clearing plates off the table as soon as we had finished the meal (a thing that some other restaurants and cafes fail at). Prices were quite reasonable ($26 for Fettuccine Pollo E Funghi - 10% discount if ordering to take-away). Only (very) slightly negative things that could be said was the chairs and tables were packed in for maximum patronage and there was no Toblerone available on the cocktail menu! Handy location (Baileys Corner), 5 minutes walk to the light rail stop, less to the bus interchangeand a short stroll access the road to the parking lot. Close to Canberra Theatre for a pre-show...

hi. i don’t normally write reviews but after visiting solita several times i decided it was absolutely worth one.

firstly, the menu has a huge variety of delicious meals to choose from. the pastas are full of flavour and the pizzas are exceptional. i have never been disappointed once while going there - solita completely exceeded my expectations when i went there for the first time.

i thought the staff deserved a mention. the staff at solita are exactly how you’d expect a healthy, well-functioning business to run. they’re attentive and polite, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. the waiters made sure to make me feel comfortable, and had no issues with moving me outside upon my request. the waitress who served me was polite and welcoming and had no issues with fulfilling the many changes i made to my order!

the restaurant was full and i didn’t expect my food to come out for at least twenty minutes. however, i received my meal exceptionally quickly and i was astonished in the quality of my food.

solita has affordable and reasonable prices for high-quality food. i would absolutely recommend giving...

I recently visited SoLita Pizzeria in the Canberra Civic Centre, and it was an incredible experience! Hands down, they have the best pizza in the ACT. I ordered the Meat Lovers pizza, and every bite was a delight. The dough was perfect—light, crispy on the outside, and wonderfully chewy on the inside. The BBQ base added a smoky, sweet touch that paired beautifully with the toppings. Speaking of toppings, this pizza was loaded! The mozzarella was perfectly melted and gooey. The double smoked leg ham brought a rich, smoky flavour, while the chorizo added a nice spicy kick. The bacon was crispy and salty, and the pepperoni added that classic spice we all love. The house roasted pork belly was tender and juicy, and the beef brisket was slow-cooked to perfection, bursting with flavour. The chicken breast was lean and tasty, and the grilled halloumi added a unique, delicious touch. Each bite was a perfect blend of smoky, spicy, and savoury flavours. It's a meat lover's dream come true! If you're in Canberra, you have to visit SoLita Pizzeria at the Civic Centre. This pizza will blow your mind!

First time coming today. A group of 7 for mums birthday. Happy with our table being big but the edge was where the waiters got plates and glasses from so a bit tight on the area. Food was so delicious in particular the pasta. My daughter loved her pesto gnocchi as it was fresh and flavourful. Husband and son had carbonara and they enjoyed it with the egg yolk and it’s a change from traditional. Very tasty. Dad enjoyed his lamb pasta and mum her ink squid pasta. In all the pasta was delicious and we took them home as the portions were large. We got calamari and it was the freshest we have had in a long time. The cheese pizza was ever so yum!! The dough was fluffy and not oily. The meatlovers pizza was ok, would probably pass and get a simple pizza with less ingredients as it was too sweet and soggy. Everything was yum. If you have young kids though with noise sensitive ears it’s a bit loud. All in all we had a good evening. $309 including everyone with a pasta meal, two jugs of soft drinks and two wines/aperol spritz
