TLDR: What can I say about this place that hasn't been said already. It was an amazing experience all round. Great food, easy to get location and top service.
As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted with a smiling face and the aroma of the food that you'll soon be enjoying. The staff are all so lovely and friendly I can't stress this enough. We sat down at our table and started to look at the menu. We decided on starting with an onion bhaji each and then moved on to a classic butter chicken with a beef delight. We also had garlic, cheesy and chilli naan with some basmati rice. We stuck with pretty basic things as my partner isn't too into spice or Indian food. The onion bhaji came out and my goodness it was good, so full of different flavors and the sauce they served it with added the perfect amount of sweetness to it. We then had our mains come out about 15 minutes after that and we may have gotten too much as we usually do but it was worth it. The butter chicken was so different to the usual creamer version that we're used to, it seems to be more of a traditional one that uses passata more instead of cream. And the beef delight was giving the chicken a run for its money. It was like a satay blend with mixed spices that left you wanting more. Both meats were cooked to perfection but the beef stood out a lot to me. My partner liked everything she ate so that's definitely a win in my books, her stand outs were the onion bhaji and cheesy naan. As we are our food the servers made the effort to come around and see if we needed refills on drinks or anything else, this may seem like a small thing but a lot of places don't seem to do that lately. As we finished eating the owner/manager came around and asked if everything was good. We said it was amazing and then asked for some takeout containers to take the leftovers for lunch the next day. All around was an absolutely amazing experience. The food was excellent, the staff were amazing and we will definitely be coming back in the near future. Thanks...
Read moreVery unimpressed with the rude waitress, who seriously needs to learn basic manners. We were in the restaurant less than 15mins, she literally came after 2mins expecting us to order. We are not indians, and we do not know the menu of by heart. Asking a question about the food is reasonable. She came back again in less than 2 mins, very impatient. Then she left rudely. She took another tables order, so we waited and we called her over, she said something in hindi and then we said we dont understand. And when we were telling her the order (not asking questions), to paraphrase, she said we were wasting her time and shes busy waitressing the restaurant by herself (restaurant was less than half full, and most people already eating). We left, and so glad we did. Check my other reviews, most are nothing put positive. This was shockingly bad.
EDIT: restaurant had two groups when we entered, and one of my group asked POLITELY whether we could have the corner table. When you showed the 4 person table next to it (next to toilet), no more questions asked and we sat there. So dont blatently lie, and also look up the word "insistent." We think you thought we were south indian (we are sri lankan origin), and you were not nice to us (even saying "our biriyani is not like your home one" dismisively). Also, when we called you over we started listing our order, when you interupted us and started your dribble. No loss for us - After your rudeness, we walked over to Royal Indian across the road, they were respectful and the food was great too! I left them a great...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Ice N Spice, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles by the friendly staff, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting.
But what truly stole the show was the food - oh, the food! Each dish we ordered was a masterclass in balanced flavors, with every bite a perfect harmony of spices, herbs, and textures. The chefs at Ice N Spice have clearly perfected their craft, and it shows in every aspect of their cuisine.
What impressed me even more was the personal touch provided by the restaurant owners. They took the time to visit each table, greeting guests and ensuring that everyone was enjoying their meal. It's clear that they're passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience, and it shows in the attention to detail and care that they bring to every aspect of the restaurant.
The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who were happy to answer questions and make recommendations. The owners' personal involvement added a warm and welcoming touch to the entire experience, making us feel like we were part of the family.
Overall, I highly recommend Ice N Spice to anyone looking for a truly exceptional Indian dining experience. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and warm atmosphere makes it a must-visit destination for anyone in the area. We can't wait to go back and try more of their...
