Attended during Carnival of Flowers on Mon 20/09/2021for lunch with my wife and adult daughter. Read the reviews. Later stunned about the quality and price. Saw sign out front with $10 lunch special and had mention of the rump steak return. Went inside and place was dank and smelly. Ordered 2 x rump steaks (small but thick) and was told they were $22 each. Saw the stone plate steak meals on the TV screen "Lunch Rumps is back "with a flow on of $9.99. Went to order and waitress thinking it was $9.99 but was told that they were in fact $22 each. Though oh well should be a good meal but the advertisement was confusing and could be seen as deceitful. Waited 40 minutes to be served with the two stone heated rumps. Very small horrible handful of chips (and I mean small) and no salad or mushroom sauce etc. Pretty stunned as this was lunchtime. Both my wife and daughter tried their very rare steak (Not as ordered) and ended up leaving their halves. I tried both and they were very average to say the least. Left very very disappointed and will not never return. The two female staff who were serving were very good. Nothing else was. The pub needs a very good deep clean. I hate doing such negative reviews but when this slack and people seem not to bother when you tell the management - well no other choice. Goodbye Cube Hotel Toowoomba and back to the Norman Hotel Brisbane where it is always 10/10 though expensive but always great and you get a side potato, bread roll,...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of being hosted by Myles at The Cube tonight with a large party spanning three generations, all having travelled in from different cities for an early, pre-show dinner. Myles’ warmth, energy and effortless hospitality truly made the evening memorable.
This wasn’t my first visit—having previously owned the neighbouring store, it was a lovely return—and what a welcome it was. The food was fabulous (even for the mums in our group who were initially reluctant to cook their own steak on the stone—by night’s end, they were total converts!).
The kids had an absolute ball, and my 6-year-old was especially thrilled to be awarded “100 points of street cred” in a fun little challenge Myles created—a concept he’s been proudly talking about ever since!
As the cherry on top, Myles even DJ’d I Like to Move It Move It for the kids, setting the perfect tone before we all headed off to see Madagascar the Musical at the Empire Theatre.
We’ll all be back—without a doubt. A huge thank you to Myles for elevating our night with fun, flair and...
Read moreI had been to Cube in Toowoomba last year for my birthday and had such a great experience that I decided to return yesterday with my family. Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. When we ordered drinks, the waitress accidentally spilled an entire drink on my brother. Mistakes can happen, but what really upset us was that she didn’t apologize at all. My brother even had to go home to change clothes before returning. Later, when the drinks were finally brought out, the manager came over but seemed completely unaware of the situation. Even after we explained, there was still no apology, no offer of a replacement, and not even a small gesture of goodwill (like covering the drinks or our bill). We left feeling very let down compared to my previous visit. Customer service really matters, and unfortunately, this time it was completely lacking. I would not recommend this place and will definitely not be...
