Kings Park in Perth is an absolute must-visit, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, stunning city views, and a poignant historical tribute. It's an expansive and beautifully maintained urban oasis that easily justifies its reputation as one of the world's finest inner-city parks. Key Highlights The main attraction is arguably the breathtaking panoramic view of the Perth city skyline, the Swan River, and the distant Darling Range from the Fraser Avenue Lookout. This spot is particularly magical at sunset or at night when the city lights up. The park is also home to the Western Australian Botanic Garden, which is a spectacular display of over 3,000 unique species of native flora, including the famous 750-year-old Gija Jumulu boab tree. If you're visiting between July and October, you'll be treated to a riot of wildflowers. Another highlight is the State War Memorial, which provides a somber and powerful tribute to fallen soldiers. The precinct is a place for quiet reflection. For a unique perspective, be sure to walk the Lotterywest Federation Walkway, an elevated treetop walkway that includes a stunning glass bridge. Family-Friendly Fun Kings Park is incredibly family-friendly, with several dedicated playgrounds and picnic areas. The Rio Tinto Naturescape is a standout, offering a fantastic space for kids to connect with nature and explore. There are also numerous walking and cycling trails, making it a great place to stay active. Overall Experience Whether you're looking for a relaxing stroll, a scenic picnic spot, a history lesson, or a place for the kids to run wild, Kings Park has it all. The park is well-equipped with cafes and a restaurant, and it's easily accessible from the city center. It's a peaceful and picturesque escape from the urban hustle that you can visit repeatedly and always find something...

Accidentally dropped my prescription glasses while on a 11 km walk trail in King’s Park. Thanks to some kind soul who picked up the glasses and sending it to the ´Lost and Found’. I am really thankful that there is such a section set up in the Park and the efficient staff who ensured that the glasses were returned within...

Beautiful park with a special surprise! I’ve loved boab trees ever since travelling through the Kimberley, so it was such a joy to see one here in the park and learn about its history. The gardens are absolutely lovely—peaceful, well-maintained, and full of fascinating plants. A great place to relax and explore nature.
