Rio Tinto Naturescape is a hidden gem in the heart of Perth, Western Australia. As an avid nature lover, I was thrilled to discover this unique and immersive outdoor experience.

First and foremost, the design and layout of Rio Tinto Naturescape are truly impressive. The park is divided into different zones, each representing a distinct Western Australian landscape. From the lush wetlands to the arid desert, every area is meticulously crafted to resemble its natural counterpart. This attention to detail creates an authentic and educational environment for visitors of all ages.

One of the highlights of Rio Tinto Naturescape is the emphasis on hands-on learning. The park encourages children to explore, discover, and engage with nature in a safe and controlled setting. There are numerous interactive activities and play areas that promote creativity, problem-solving, and physical activity. From building cubbies to climbing trees, kids are encouraged to get their hands dirty and truly connect with the natural world.

What sets Rio Tinto Naturescape apart from other parks is its commitment to environmental sustainability. The park utilizes recycled and natural materials in its construction, and there is a strong focus on conservation and biodiversity. Visitors can learn about the importance of preserving our natural resources and the role they play in maintaining a healthy ecosystem.

Another aspect that impressed me was the knowledgeable and friendly staff. They are always available to answer questions, provide guidance, and ensure the safety of visitors. Their passion for nature and commitment to education is evident in their interactions with both children and adults.

In terms of facilities, Rio Tinto Naturescape offers ample amenities for visitors. There are clean and well-maintained toilets, picnic areas, and even a café where you can grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink. The park is also wheelchair accessible, making it inclusive for all visitors.

The only downside I can think of is that the park can get quite busy, especially during weekends and school holidays. However, this is a testament to its popularity and the positive impact it has on the community.

Overall, Rio Tinto Naturescape is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts, families, and anyone looking to reconnect with the natural world. It offers a unique and immersive experience that combines education, adventure, and environmental sustainability. I highly recommend spending a day exploring this incredible park and discovering the wonders of Western Australia's...

Best park ever but it doesn't look or feel like a park. It is a walk in the bush. Mud, rocks, trees, billabongs, creek, dirt tracks, climbing. All of which you can play in or on. Take a change of clothes and a towel. Or just come home dirty and happy. There are toilets and drinking fountains but no shop or bins. Bring a picnic and take your rubbish home or just stay for a little while. No big party spaces or bookings. There are Rangers on site. The rules are no going in water above your knees, no throwing rocks/stones or damaging flora and fauna. If you need to buy food and/or sit on a nice lawn and run around in big spaces Synergy Park is 2 km up the same road. Both good in their own way. Not open Mondays, days of total fire bans and all of February. No pets. Some degree of wheelchair access, only to main pathways, you can have a bit of a look especially...

Absolutely fantastic place to take the kids. There is so much for them to do without one bit of technology, just completely absorbed in nature. We were there for three hours and even then they had to be dragged out of there, they loved it. The only thing they wanted from us after lunch was water! Haha! Completely safe environment, even if they took off out of sight there wasn't any need to stress, as no child can exit the premises without an adult, so you knew that you'd find them within the grounds sooner or later! The only disappointment was seeing irresponsible people throwing food for the birds which of course created a scavenging environment with the crows, such ashame how brainless some people are!! Entry is free, yay!! Do yourself a favour and check it out, you won't be...

It was closed due to fire risk 🙁, Had a look at the map and the layout looks good, it would be better in spring and winter because of the flowers. As for kings park in general it's always beautiful, the fresh air some rare plants & tree's and the Kookaburras always put a smile on my face 😊, when eating food keep a eye out they are quick 🤣. Never been disappointed in kings park Always brings back the happy times been there over the years with family or friends. Have walk there is a little bit of history around the trees.
