Near a childrens playground, this is a convenient place for parents with young kids. We had coffee, tea & cakes sitting outside with our two dogs. Outside seating is under cover. Seating inside and out. Toilets available. Free parking is nearby and accessed from Kings Park road. The entrance is well signposted.

The food and service is more cafeteria than cafe. I had a "fisherman's basket", the seafood component appeared to be those heat and serve meals you get from the supermarket. The meal came with chips and salad. Nothing wrong with it but obviously not made from scratch.

There are free barbecues and covered seating in the adjacent area. As is adjoins Kings Park, there is plenty of room for the kids to blow off a little steam. Enough open space to kick the footy around or a game of...

Great improvements on the old Stickybeaks cafe. New management have revitalized the place. Extended outdoor table area under verandah and next to playground. Food menu was nice but not the level I had expected for a big tourist spot. Good variety (lunchbar meets cafe) but very little for a person requiring both gluten and dairy free. (GFDF) Fruit and soft drink. The GF quiche was delicious and not smothered with cheese or full of feta which was a welcome relief. Reasonably priced to be the only facility this side of the park. Good wheelchair and pram access with baby change facilities. The toilets are well kept. Family venue but good for young people and all ages. Loving the...

Incredibly let down.

The wait staff just stand awkwardly at the till without indicating where to get a menu, the printed menu does not have all of the items on it (when asked the waiter indicated that there are sandwiches but they're not listed nor are they displayed on any signs etc), several safety hazards exist for small children (hot water urn and stacks of ceramic saucers with reach of the average 3-year-old; incredible given its playground location), no normal sugar for adding to hot drinks (brown sugar of the molasses variety only) and incredibly overpriced for what proved to be a very...

Reading all the other reviews for here we must have just struck it on a bad Monday when the two male staff members just didn’t want to be there… Food is definitely not the greatest - muffin was dry (you have to ask for butter) and no sauce for the hot chips for the kids. Stupid system where they give you a buzzer for the food - but yell out when your coffee order is ready. Not good if you don’t hear them yell - or the kids are playing. However the kids playground is great - next time will just buy food elsewhere and take it there.
