Brunetti Classico Gelato Bar — Attraction in Melbourne

The icecream parlour of Brunetti is "assolutamente fantastico" . We really love it and we are regular poping by for a special treat. All the food is fantastic, from different hot and cold sandwiches, paninis and focaccias,to hot pizzas, pastas and freshly cooked meals. Deliziozo. The desserts are to die for, from creamy delicious mousse cakes, tartes, fruit tortes, pastries ,bigne and gelatos. You are really spoiled for choice. The gelato bar is magical and you feel the italian atmosphera and "dolce vita" there. Erwin, the guy sculpting your icecream from different types, is always so pleasant, smiley and patiently creates your delicious combo from different flavours. A fantastic experience every time, taking me back to Italy with delicious food, great gelato and relaxing vibe. Glad to not have to wait inside the main venue for gelato! The staff were super friendly and pleasant and not bothered at all by wanting to try a couple of flavours before deciding with all the options. My only negative feedback would be that the lemon tasted unusual (last Sunday). I have had a lot of gelato in my life across the Mediterranean and locally and the lemon consistency was more creamy than anything it did not taste like a standard lemon gelato. Also the bambini size is probably slightly too small for a bambino. My 3 year old could smash 4...

Perhaps they did not have the best flavors available during my visit as I tried multiple flavors but found only one that I really liked, and that one is the lemon meringue flavor! It has chocolate pieces in it, exactly the way I like my ice cream :) So yeah, can only recommend this one flavor. These other flavors were a meh for me: Snickers, vanilla, pistachio with berry jam. (I did try something else too but can't remember anymore...) Might be back to try more flavors (thanks for the samples!) or just repeat the lemon...
