Pro: A bin that states ā€˜compost’ recently appeared at Fishbowl on Swan St.

Con: A colleague spotted them dumping it in the general waste bins out back. Also confirmed by the staff working there ā€˜we don’t have any compost / fogo bins to use’, so we just use the general waste bins.

Would love someone from FISHBOWL to explain this to me. 🄓

This is literally why people give up trying to do the right thing.

And completely wrong and misleading to represent that you're doing the right thing, and not.

Fail.

EDIT: Fishbowl are really disappointed that someone figured out they're just marketing that they do the right thing, not actually doing it, and as such, when they do the right thing, they'd like us to update the review. lol.

If the building management (who you are trying to blame) wouldn't allow a larger compost bin out the back, why did you still put the bin marked 'Compost' in your store for weeks until someone spoke up anyway? You knew it was going in to general waste...

Fishbowl...transparency with your customers would be processing items from a bin marked (marketed as) 'compost' through a proper compost...

A forty-five minute wait for a single bowl of rice, salad, and some stringy beef as a line of staff scurry between two counters. The staff member responsible for taking orders was possibly soulless or dead on the inside, rattling off, "Regular? Large? Base? Salad?" in a monotone.

It's not that the staff weren't working hard, but I don't think wait times are well communicated. The staff member who took my order gave me no indication that there was a significant wait time, but on later orders began to tell people things like, "It's a twenty minute wait." "It's 15 minutes." It's twenty five."

For the record, it was forty-five minutes just to get to my order, so I'm not sure that those estimates were accurate.

The food was a little dry and feels a bit like you have to chew it excessively to get down the mixture of dry rice, dry beef, and so much kale that it resembled tabouleh.

There's not a lot of worth going to this place as someone who works in the area. Lunch time is valuable and could be better...

I usually love Fishbowl, but the staff at this location is incompetent to a degree that goes beyond common sense.

I went 2 times, and was disappointed twice. I ordered take away:

On my first visit, the staff had not remembered to make it ready to take out, so when I prompted them again they said ā€œoh you can take one of the bags and a lid hereā€ and did not pack it up for me. I later discovered that bowl was also missing the base and ingredients I had requested and paid for.

On my second visit, they had also ā€œlostā€ my request for take away, and on my second prompt, the staff just put a lid on the bowl and handed it to me without any bags or utensils.

There was also a strong sense in the room that everyone behind the counter hated their job and was deeply unhappy to serve customers.

Still a fan of the taste, but will definitely avoid this Richmond branch, and go to Greenstreat across the...

Usually order at flinders lane, always had amazing experience. However, I ordered a takeaway Nori Caesar at the counter after gym at Richmond. I was disappointed at the food and the service. It was quiet, but it still took a longer time for my order to be ready and there were a lot of missing ingredients (there’s no umami cashew or shallots). This is NOT Nori Caesar! Anyways, very awful experience, so disappointed
