Old and historical, the bridge is one of a few that crosses the famous Yarra River. You can gain access to the water via a variety of paths and ramps and stairs but on the east side near Federation Square there is a left which is extremely helpful. On the north side of the river is Flinders Street Station, the main train platforms in Melbourne although there are also trams. Federation Square is also on the north side. Main shopping precinct is here as well. On the south side is where the NGV (National Gallery of Victoria), the art spire and many of the centres for performing arts - concerts, plays, theatre etc. also on the south side is Southbank that has upmarket cafes and restaurants. if you’d like to take a boat up and down The Yarra there are a number of places you can book. Larger ferries are from the north side and smaller boats on the south side. The views from the bridge either west or east are amazing, particularly at night. You can still some of the original architecture site as the lights and the bluestone that’s it’s made of us common in the early building...

Good bridge 🌉Princes Bridge, originally Prince's Bridge,[4] is an important bridge in central Melbourne, Australia that spans the Yarra River. It is built on the site of one of the oldest river crossings in Australia. The bridge connects Swanston Street on the north bank of the Yarra River to St Kilda Road on the south bank, and carries road, tram and pedestrian traffic. The present bridge was built in 1888 and is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.[5]

Because of its position, Princes Bridge is often a focal point for celebratory events in Melbourne such as the Moomba Festival, New Years Eve and many celebrations taking place on the Yarra River where it flows...

This is one of several bridges crossing the Yarra River linking the CBD to the South Bank and South Wharf area of the city. It was constructed in 1888 and is included on the Victorian Heritage Register. The Princes Bridge is a vehicle, tram and pedestrian crossing and is a centre point for celebratory events held within the city. It had three arches and subtly decorative ironwork and lamps, making it an attractive historic structure to see in addition to use to cross over the Yarra River.
