Read moreLocated in Flinders Street Station. Clocks is the venue, Green Light is the restaurant on the left as you walk in. It is a small restaurant fitted out to look like the old style rail carriages. Wines were great. We had a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. We ordered the Calamari with Lemon mayo, and chips, the Grilled Porterhouse with chips and salad and the Original Burger. The Calamari was cooked perfectly. Not chewie at all. The side of chips was good. We thought it was worth the $10. The Grilled Porterhouse came with chips and salad. It was alright....not fantastic, but alright. The gravy was pretty salty, better with the chips and not on the sliced steak. The Original Burger was average. The Meat patty had that pre-packaged taste and consistency to it. The service was good (friendly with a smile). We thank Green Light for having us. We experienced Green Light as guests, and all of our opinions are genuine and are based on our experience at the time...

Yet this stand-in, busy chatting with other clientele while on the job, took one cursory glance at us and decided that we looked intoxicated.
I was initially amused as I have never been turned away in 20+ years going to pubs and bars. I thought I’d give Clocks a chance to comment by writing to them via their website, but it’s been a week and I’ve received no response. Do something about this doorman because he’s costing you customers who will simply...
