This is a little gem of a spot that is pretty tranquil on the best of days. Unfortunately, this was not the day. After bedding a slightly older hottie in my late 20s, a relationship formed that would carry throughout the years up to 2017 when we wed on this idyllic patch of sand. Fast forward to 2024 with one son and many court hearings later, I would later come to rue the day I ever showed up on the day and marry that absolute piece of work. Read moreThis beach is amazing! The length of it is incredible and it’s such a relaxing place to visit. It’s so cool to see all the burrowing crabs and the little sand balls they make. While you’re in Port Douglas, walking, riding, or relaxing on the beach is one of the best parts. There is an area near the main street (Macrossan Street) where you can hire an umbrella and chairs (but you need cash). You can use these for as long as you like and it’s a really great experience. It is quit cool how they have protected the trees from development. You are immersed in nature as you enjoy the beauty of the Coral Sea.
