This was a fun beach to come to. We were here in June 2019. One of the amazing things about this beach is the vast length of it. We walked from our hotel each day. It was a 15 minute walk along the beach, but always nice. Crabs were regularly building holes which we had fun watching. In terms of surf, this beach wasn't doing much. Body surfing was doable, but from my one week here, I probably wouldn't bring a board along. The lifeguards and the bloke who ran the chair rental (yea, a little weird) were pretty nice. Absolutely stunning 4km long beach! Practically empty except at 6:30a.m. Beautifully clean - I saw two pieces of litter in two hours and they were so out of place, I picked them up and carried them home to a bin. We particularly loved that all development has been built back from the shoreline trees, so all the buildings and resorts are not visible from the beach - whoever it was on Port Douglas council that passed this byelaw is an absolute star. Hard, compact sand, good for running, walking, cycling. Small area with stinger nets and lifeguards at northern end. Small, late-breaking...

Four Mile Beach has it all! As a popular advertising jingle about a luxury resort down the road once claimed, this place is "too good to be true"! :-) Soak up the sun, enjoy a book or just watch people making the most of this tranquil and very special location. Part of the beach is patrolled so you are in safe hands if you swim between the flags. You could easily spend quite a few hours here. There is a nearby lookout to take in the spectacular scenery from a higher vantage point. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Port Douglas! Here are some photos from our most...

Welcome to 'The Edge,' a luxury villa that blends brutalist architecture into the lush landscape of Port Douglas. Perched above Four Mile Beach, with a heated 10-meter infinity lap pool, this house invites you to slow down, stretch out, and soak it all in. 📍Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia 🔗Link in bio to book 🔎"The Edge - Port Douglas" #vrbo #vacationrental #portdouglas #brutalistarchitecture #designstay #uniquebeachhouse #australia #creatorsearchinsights
