Rottnest Island Train Station — Attraction in Rottnest Island

We went in the winter on a quiet day and the lovely train driver let my son sit in the driving chair pretty much the whole ride up and back! My 3 year old was convinced he was driving the tram, got to press the horn at cross overs etc. Highlight of the trip for him, on the way home he was quite put out that they hadn't asked him to drive the ferry! The hop on and off bus system is hopeless, overcrowded and needs to run more often. You can't physically see the whole island going to each of the 19 stops in one day, just not enough time because your always waiting for a bus which come along every 45 minutes. Also you have signs not to touch the wildlife, yet it's not Policed, we witnessed lots patting and picking up Quokkas to get the perfect photo and no one was around to Police it, plainly wrong, you need more than signs, the animals must be...
