This museum is a great stop before you head off to explore the island. The museum delves into the history of the aboriginal people, the islands use during WW2 and even some more modern history regarding the islands use for world championship surfing events.
We met one of the nicest guys here who worked behind the main desk and helped direct us to the bus station which is just a few meters from the museum. He also gave us some extra information about some of the exhibits and was really helpful. The building itself like many of the buildings on Rottnest was also a historical staple and was surrounded by quokka’s which we stopped to get photos with.
