Hey, I really like shopping at Big W, and I give it a 5 star rating purely because it's a great store and the staff are great. However ive read some of the reviews on here especially those saying the staff are rude and that the store is untidy. My views on these are quite different and to say the staff are rude is just ridiculous. These staff members do the absolute best they can do in regards to the type of shopper that comes into that store. When shoppers let their kids go a-wall and then allow them to treat it as playground then no wonder the staff are a tad abrupt. I mean look at what they have to deal with. Also the shop is one of the most trashed stores I've been in, but I think that rather than blame the staff or the shop for this maybe shoppers need to look at themselves and make decisions on what they want to take off the shelves or hangers and then make the curtious decision on how they want to put the item back on the shelf or hanger for the next person. Throwing stuff on the floor is not a big w staff thing but rather a shoppers decision to disrespect the store. Its also the responsibility of mums and dads to mind their children. Big W is not a park, or a childrens playground and it shows absolute total disrespect to the staff and store to let your children treat the store in this manner. Bouncing balls, running around unaccompanied, riding bikes just general misbehaviour of children and their mums and dads for allowing this and is not Big W staff fault. That is purely a shoppers fault. So in this particular store your staff are exceptional and are at no fault at all to blame for the trashed store or being abrupt at shoppers. This is all the shoppers fault. The shoppers showing total disrespect for Big W staff and the place they work is the problem. In my opinion it's the shoppers and their wretched kids that need training in how to behave in a shop to allow an awesome shopping experience for themselves and for the rest of the shopping public. So stop trashing the store and treat it and the staff with respect. Accompany your children as parents should and show them the right way to treat a store and its staff. This is not hard. Its the correct way to bring up children that have respect and not total disregard for other people and their shopping experience. Well done Big W and staff. Read moreAsk for an exchange of item to one of the staff at customer service. Gave me an annoyed look and asked me to get another size of the item and come back. Came back, there was this lady there standing there. There were few staffs in there but no one attended her. I waived to the same lady to let her know I'm back. I asked lady if I can get through and if she's being served. She just shrugged. I went through as the staff told me before to come back. Then suddenly, I'm being rude and got told off by the same staff that next time, I still have to wait even I was served first. The lady has been there for quite awhile before I even came back. No one even bothered to attend to her even the same staff who I've spoken earlier. Now, it's my fault for upsetting the lady. Bad customer service.
